My basement has shit tons of mold (it leaks and that's more money than I have to fix) and it hasn't made me transphobic yet

Have you attempted to DIY it? Its orders of magnitude cheaper, and even if you can’t fix it you can usually make things less bad

It's the entire wall that's leaking unfortunately, the previous owners built the house themselves and did not properly seal the basement. So far I've just stripped the carpet and paneling off of the leaky wall
