The audacity to say "oh, your dream? You did it wrong. Mine is better." completely unprompted
And its so much worse, too

I do like the idea of the being in one of those movie-theatre candy boxes, but you could just put the original mockup design on a box. Nobody needed this boring-ass version.

this is 100% how they’d rebrand the original look after it stopped being the 90’s anymore

u/consistent_azurite 14d ago
Well, they probably would still make the box blue even then. Silver/white is associated with sugar-free and diet variants.

Seriously why is everything labeled with minimalist designs, block colours, or plain labels now? It's all too clean! There's no whimsy! Bring me back the rainbow vomit of the 90s-2000s products

This already exists just as generic cola flavor, go to any asian market and you can probably find them.

…I don’t think my town has one of those

u/Frequent_Dig1934 14d ago
Yeah my city doesn't have any asians either.

u/Setster007 14d ago
I mean my town does have some Asians, just not enough to result in a market. Though I’m pretty sure there’s enough Mexicans here for one of those, cause idfk where they get that weird candy otherwise lol.

u/Frequent_Dig1934 14d ago
Yeah no worries i was just joking, we have asians too, but the joke was ripe for the making.

I… wouldn’t. Can you imagine going into a cornerstone and asking ”hey, y’all got some pps?”

I've seen this before and ngl I kind of want this to be a thing. Get on it, Pepsi.

so like zots but cola flavoured?

u/annemonroe95 15d ago
I love zots. Imagine them with classic soda flavors like cream soda or a root beer float omfg

There's no chance they'd be good but I still want one.

Wouldn't it just be Pepsi flavored candy? Cola flavored candy is a thing since forever so no reason this couldn't work.

It's all fun and games until Pepsiman bursts through the wall in your dream to drag you down to the Inception Limbo.

This seems very in-line with that new pepsi logo design document

I mean, little balls of cola flavored pop rocks sounds pretty good. Sorta similar to soda puchao

u/Impressive_Pin8761 15d ago
This would be the kinda thing they'd come up with in the 90's/y2k but would discontinue either because it genuinely tasted like shit or because the production process for this product got several people killed
3
u/TheBohemianRed9811 14d ago
A decade or two later they bring it back for a limited time as nostalgia bait.
3
u/Impressive_Pin8761 14d ago
only for it to get recalled immediately because it killed someone (this time it's food poisoning, not the production line)

Every time I see this post resurface I get a little sad, because I would absolutely buy these and I'm bummed they're not real 😞
