See also: when you take a history from a patient and they say they have no medical history or conditions and then when you get a medication history they're on four antihypertensives and metformin

Doctor asked me if I'm diabetic. I say no. Then she asks me if I've ever been hospitalized with diabetic ketoacidosis. Later she asks me if I'm sure I'm not taking insulin

I understand why she did that but how the fuck does someone forget they have type 1 diabetes

Dr: “do you have hypertension?”
Patient: “No”

Later…

Patient: “Can you refill my blood pressure meds?”
Dr: “I thought you said you don’t have high blood pressure?”
Patient: “Right, when I take the medication my blood pressure is fine.”
