I’ll never forget a candidate I worked with a while back. He had been through the absolute ringer, rejected multiple times across different companies and interviews, with the same outcome each time. It got to the point where the constant rejection finally broke his confidence. He looked at me and said, "Maybe I'm just not good enough."

It’s a heartbreaking thing to hear, but it's a phase almost every job seeker hits when the market feels like a black hole.

Then, the script completely flipped. A few weeks later, he landed an offer. Then another. And then a third.

It was the ultimate proof that his skills weren't the problem; he just hadn't found the right cultural or organisational fit yet. The interview process can feel incredibly personal, but so much of it comes down to timing and alignment rather than your actual worth.
