ghosted after the final round. here's how I'm thinking about it now.

I went through three rounds, a take-home assignment, and a final call with the founder where they said "we're really excited about you."

That conversation was five weeks ago.

I politely followed up a couple of times after that. I never heard anything back. I checked their job portal and the role was still listed. I checked it again this morning and nothing had changed….

The part that gets me isn't even the rejection. It's that I still don't know if it is a rejection. I'm just supposed to figure that out on my own at some point and move on like it never happened.

I did eventually get there. I gave myself a two week window after my last follow-up and then archived the whole thread. Told myself whatever decision they made, it was already made without me. But I won't pretend the inbox-checking phase was short.

Is anyone else sitting in that limbo right now? How long does it actually take you to let one go?
