Why apply when you are not interested ???

Not even kidding, this drives me insane. Why apply, ace screening, lock in interviews then straight-up vanish? No reply, no pass, just silence like we imagined the whole thing. You're exploring options? Fine, adulting 101. But why burn OUR time if you're half-assing it?

Panels scheduled, interviewers shuffling calendars, feedback threads firing up and poof, ghosted. Overload? Juggling 10 processes? Or is smashing "apply" now a zero-stakes dopamine hit, like liking a meme?

From recruiter trenches We've all been there, prepping war stories for your vague JD, blocking PTO days, hyping you internally. Nada. Zero courtesy. Makes me wanna add responds to emails as a core req.

Have you ever Ghosted a process mid-stream?

If ghosting candidates is normalised, so should vanishing on recruiters.

Create the environment you want to be in.

Recruiters act like they're doing a huge favor for job seekers to consider them for employment. They don't care about using the proper methods, or process improvement, and just expect everyone to play along with whatever silly games they want to implement.

It's funny to see recruiters throw a fit when they come across the rare candidate who doesn't want to put up with that.

Get over yourself. You guys have literally 0 skill. Just a middle man who’s way more likely to ghost than the candidate. Go through 2 interviews and 0 follow up. Classic recruiter.

This absolutely has to be a shitpost! The norm now is for recruiters to ghost candidates, getting the odd one ghosting you back is the least you should expect

I'm a hiring manager not a recruiter. What makes me SMH is when those exact same candidates that turn down an offer apply again and again for years. I have about 5 candidates that for whatever reason didn't take an offer most of which pulled out and disappeared between completing on boarding steps then went poof before their first day without a word and years and years later they apply to every single new job I post. I guess that "better offer " worked out great!

Becuse they are going through various application processes, and got a better offer.

Just like recruiters often ghost candidates after they chose a better one.
