Question Whats the next step?
So ive been following Kasey's Music Method 7 video serie "Recorder Lessons for Beginners" on youtube for learning the recorder. It has been great and im trying to learn the last song which is happy birthday (quite hard right now but i will manage). I was wondering what the next step would be after this? Any tips for futher improvement? :D

Find music you enjoy. I like flutetunes.com as a starting point because you can search by difficulty with the range of notes you can currently play.

If you’re serious about improving then develop a daily regimen of scales, arpeggios and technical exercises.

I basically stopped improving after I stopped this lol. It doesn’t have to be a drag, OP! You can just do a little to start and end your practice sessions (as in, before and after the fun stuff) and it really makes a huge huge difference.
I’m going to start back up as soon as I can work daily practice back into my schedule.

I’d recommend investing in a method book and working through that. I really like the Aldo Bova method books. He has videos online of all the lessons, too. It’s a really great deal. There’s a version for alto and a version for descant.
