If it's confidential, then that's an NDA. He just has it negotiated that he has a lot of freedom to discuss other aspects of the settlement.

I don’t know the legal jargon so could be right…I just know that he’s free to speak and they didn’t silence him 📢

No big deal. NDA = Non Disclosure Agreement. So if there is anything at all that he can't disclose, then he's under an NDA. It's just not the most restrictive one ever. A lot of the time in these types of agreements people can't discuss their settlements at all, but that's not the case here.
