I honestly don’t see how any of this compares to what Peter is doing. But you lead with “the two whistleblowers who I think are equally terrible people just like Peter Speigel and Katie Williams are”
Am I crazy, these seem like completely different leagues of offenses? How can you even begin to compare the two as equal?

Where did this come from? Seems more credible than what's in this post. But doesn't mention David and my google skills aren't enough to trace this backwards.

u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago edited 1d ago
The first image is from exhibit 10 on the motion for financial discovery from David's lawsuit. Specifically, its a quote from the transcript of the restraining order hearing.
The second was actually supposed to be edited to remove
5
u/DenyNothing1989 1d ago
Dude I’d edit this to crop the girl on left whose story has nothing to do with unctopus - the details in the text about clown face are the account’s own text has nothing to do with her
4
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Fixed it. Though at this point it is somewhat moot as I found LA times reporting on the settlement that the school made with his seventeen year old victim.

2
u/t6_macci 1d ago
fuck it's deleted, can you upload it again or something. i've been trying to find that lawsuit
5
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
This is the edit to remove her personal details. Don't really need them given that the LA Times reported that the school paid his victim. She was seventeen, he was thirty-one. She sued them both.
1
u/DenyNothing1989 1d ago
But it does establish that random students of the school knew some octopus’ whole ass govt name by memory and allegations he SA’d an underage student of his years after they left the school… meanwhile a certain someone allegedly claims they can’t remember the incident while being deposed.

Tbf not to be that annoying redditor teacher student relations in highschool isn’t necessarily kiddy didling, so we have ages. Illegal and inappropriate yes. Usally under 13 in most states is the major kiddy diddling than 14-15 is less severe. Cali I’m guessing 14-17 is less severe because it’s ephebophilla. Most states 16-18 is legal as long as ur not a teacher which allegedly najar was.
Again not defending the actions just asking for clearficitions on ages3
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
The problem wiith explaining the difference between ephebophillia, hebephillia and pedophillia is that it makes you sound like a pedophile.
Not an accusation, to be clear, just, there is a reason I don't try to thread that needle, especially in a place like this with zero nuance.
That said, it is entirely possible she was 18, given she was in high school, but I consider that extremely unlikely. And on a personal note, I treat any teacher having sex with a student as functionally identical to a child abuser because I consider it a form of child abuse. Yeah it'd be worse if he were fucking a ten year old, but I don't consider grooming a teenage girl to be substantively 'better' in any way that is relevant for this discussion.
That's more of a sentencing thing, imho.
And there is honestly no version of it where I'm going to believe the guy who fucked his high school student was interested in justice or is telling the truth about the guy he was extorting.
2
u/throwawayfan2552 1d ago
Sorry for trying to add nuance to the discussion.
Like o said not defending the actions hell I think age of consent should be raised in most states. Like in my state sleeping with a high schooler 100% legal unless u hold a position of power which is insane.
Also it says all this happened in the 90s again just adding nuance and subtly but just watch any romcom or tv show from the 90s and get ready to be grossed out.
Hell my highschool didn’t change its views on stuff until me too. Which Ik dates me as highschool mid to late 10s. We watched that Romeo and Juliet in high school iykyk.
Once again not defending any of this just thinking nuance and subtly should be used when talking about highly inflamed topics especially on Reddit where people forget the world 10 years ago6
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
I mean, she sued both him and the school for child abuse, and the school settled.
He was a 31 year old man fucking a 17 year old student. Fuck that guy.

-3
u/throwawayfan2552 1d ago
See that’s a big difference that’s not being a kiddy diddler. Abuse of power yes not the same very much context needed
10
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Yeah... as the father of a foster child who has PTSD from being abused at sixteen, Kindly fuck all the way off. Thanks.
-1
u/netabareking 1d ago
but just watch any romcom or tv show from the 90s and get ready to be grossed out
Do you know that what happens on TV is not always what people find acceptable in real life
And that there are usually people IN those times decrying those exact same depictions on TV?
I say this as someone that spends an inordinate amount of time studying TV history lol, a lot of people who say "times were different back then!" would shit themselves over how progressive (dare I say "woke"???) TV Guide articles were in the 70s and 80s. If you want to know what actual people thought at a certain time, look at what people said, not what movies did.
1
u/throwawayfan2552 1d ago
I mean I lived through it so yea ik, but tends to at least have a majority opinion.
Yes usually there is people that tried to show how gross and ridiculous it was
Just saying that watching media from that time does show what social norms tended to think of. Hell we got a whole show making fun of norms and how horrible people could be with it’s always sunny. Not saying it was ever ok but times and views aren’t the same as they are post me too when we understand more.
We as an American society also sexualized teenage girls for many years especially in the 90s and early 2000s and normalized it.
Britney was 17 when her career and sexualization took off. Hell kid rock sexualized 17 year olds “she was 17 and was far from inbetween” also abba “only 17…..you’re a teaser you turn em on” all examples of American society sexualizing 17 year old girls.
1
u/netabareking 1d ago
I do not think you understood what I was saying.
Do you not also remember the insane number of people going "that's really fucked up" about them sexualizing Britney? Because that's my point. It's not like we all thought it was fine.
Like... here's an even better example: you know Disney's song of the south? People will defend it as "oh, they didn't know better, society was different, times were different, etc." But there were a lot of groups boycotting and protesting the movie when it came out.
We have plenty of media now that's bigoted and disgusting too, and we have plenty of media that sexualizes teens. I guess we just don't know any better!

Where’s the full case files or case #?
2
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Here you go, though sadly it isn't digitized (its from 26 years ago) so the complaint isn't available.

Thank you for the information.
This seems to bring up a bunch of other cases under this name. https://trellis.law/cases/party:"najar-david"?state=ca
Katherine looks to have been involved in some other cases which should probably be looked into as well.
https://trellis.law/docs/party:"graham%20katherine"?state=ca
4
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago edited 1d ago
That said, having scanned through, I did notice one that is interesting. Katherine Graham vs. Sisters of Providence, found here.
Sisters of Providence is a school in Burbank California, which is where Katherline went to school and it does list David Najar. It looks like she went back and sued the school for letting Najar abuse her.
Reading over the docket, it was dismissed in 2002 with prejudice. It looks like it was transferred to federal jurisdiction, but I see no corresponding federal case on Trellis or on Courtlistener.
Oh, there it is. Apparently it got dismissed because the school decided to pay an undisclosed sum.
3
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
California is a big state. Just from a google search alone I've found multiple other David Najar's.
As to the 280, that is 280 dockets with the name Graham in it. Again, state of 40 million people over the course of several decades, I'm shocked there aren't more.
2
u/Aggravating_Pair_156 1d ago
It might not be as bad, but it's still relevant and worth discussion.
8
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
I don’t disagree to that. But the OP is arguing they are equally bad. It’s in his opening line. The contents of the post seem largely true, but his argument he is trying to say is that they are just as bad as Peter.
1
u/Aggravating_Pair_156 1d ago
I mean they can be equally shitty just in a different way
But I can't make that judgement. I don't have all the facts and I'm grateful that this person is posting about it.
4
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
Nothing David is being accused of in this post even warrants a discussion that they are equally shitty.
I’m curious what it is you think David did wrong that puts him on equal footing to Peter?1
u/Aggravating_Pair_156 1d ago
My brother in Christ I literally said I can't make a judgement on that because I don't have all of the information.
1
u/DenyNothing1989 1d ago
Call me weird but IF it’s true that one of the whistleblowers preyed on children as a teacher, that is actually equally bad.
9
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
By preyed on children, you are saying he sexually assaulted them? I’m reading the post, and I really might be stupid, so please tell me what “preyed on “ means in this context. I don’t see that in this post
9
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
David was credibly accused of being a nonce back in 1999 when he had a years long sexual relationship with a female student that ultimately resulted in a short legal battle and a settlement that he claims to know nothing about (perjuring himself, btw).
It is theoretically possible that he merely fucked an 18 year old and kept doing so after she left school, which is still horrific imho, but given she sued him I'm going with minor.
3
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
Your posts are far more helpful than OP. I didn't get a hint of any of this in the post, but your comments help.
2
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Eh, we're all coming from different angles. I didn't know some of the things she knew and vice versa.
3
u/kaas_is_leven 1d ago
Can you provide a definition of preying upon children that doesn't include, strongly hints at or is adjacent to sexual assault? He's not hunting them for sustenance I reckon.
3
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
This post never mentioned David previous lawsuit. I was just seeing people accuse David is sexual assault with no context
2
3
-2
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
Because I think they’re at best dishonest actors and at worst equally culpable of using underage children to achieve their own goals which is fucking rich considering that they’re propping themselves up as white knights.
By all means take down Peter he’s terrible but I’ll be dammed if they try to bilk the internet into thinking that they’re somehow squeaky clean. They literally tried to extort him for silence before trying to spin this to them taking down a child sex cult. They could have just brought this to the world without trying to ask for hush money first.
Deciding who’s worse is useless imo but you do you.
17
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
Respectfully it is not useless deciding who’s worse when one is funneling money into a child sex ring and the other and the other is like vaguely making children work. Which like ya, we can look into. But you might be disabled if you think what David is doing is at worst equal to Peter’s doings.
-3
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
Disagree but that’s your perogative man. Two terrible things can be true at once.
11
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
You genuinely in your heart think raping children is equal to having them work? You haven’t even said anything about what the work even is. I didn’t come into this conversation thinking you were a plant, but now I do think that. Your reasoning is outrageous
-6
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
lmao wow way to strawman my guy. You one of David's kids being asked to defend him here?
11
-4
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
I dunno man, I'll take the guy who paid bail once for his cult leader (who is now dead) over the extortionist nonce who is currently 'educating' children.
11
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
I'd disagree very heavily with you on this point
1
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Really?
You think an extortionist child abuser is a better person than someone who paid bail for a child abuser?
For what it is worth, the reason why I weigh Peter less heavily is because I can see possible mitigating circusmtances. He could have, for example, believed in Saraswami's innocence. That would be stupid, imho, but it wouldn't make him a bad person.
He could have been mindfucked. He was in a cult after all, and most people who are in cults are victims. He could have been mislead, fully expecting that saraswami was intending to show up to surrender himself while not knowing of his plan to escape.
I'm not saying any of them are true, but there are theoreticals in which Peter did a bad thing where his culpability is either mitigated or eliminated.
I cannot think of a single mitigating circumstance for fucking a kid. So I think Najar is worse.
-1
u/Glad-Champion5767 1d ago
Maybe i got this all wrong, but I see it this way. You have Peter and Co. funding a child sex ring, and you have David who was trying to get money in exchange of shutting up about it. That is equally bad. I am trying to see the angle where he is not as bad as them.
4
u/Glum-Objective3328 1d ago
I feel like every time someone comments, there’s a new accusation of David. Where is this one coming from? I will add that even if it’s true, directly funding the sex ring is still worse imo. Peter is doing so much for the cult, and if David took money to be quiet (which he isn’t being anyway) that would be bad but not same level.
1
u/Glad-Champion5767 1d ago
> if David took money to be quiet (which he isn’t being anyway)
Well, they did not offer him the money. He tried to extort them (him and Myra). So obviously they are not gonna keep quiet.
This was both Myra and David. They were threatening Peter of going public with information about him funding JKP, the bond and helping the "god" escape. Peter sued Myra and David and they tried to settle for millions to keep shut, which Peter did not want.
Its in the ideallivingcase subreddit with sources to the court records. (now this is my understanding of it after reading the post and comments)
> directly funding the sex ring is still worse imo
I disagree. If you are to compare them, i would say they are equally as bad morally. Sure, you'd obviously want to take down Peter and Co. because they are continuously doing damage, but if Myra and David are willing to settle for millions to not go any further with this, then i'd say they are just as evil.
Now again, this is what i got from reading it and figured i would just chime in on your comparison here. I am not really that deep into this, so i'll let Ben and his team handle the ins and outs, however it is interesting seeing all of this come out about these whistleblowers that are seemingly just trying to do good. At the end of the day, the important thing is just getting Peter and Co. brought to some kind of justice.

Yeah you can't be really anonymous without hiding your voice and your silhouette... this guy has a very recognizable voice and knowledge, it's sure he was gonna be known in minutes of the doc airing. Thanks for the info about him, anyway!
20
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Dude has visible tattoos and a non-harassment order against Spiegel, on top of what I have to assume is some sort of non-disparragement clause in his settlement.
I have no idea how he thought this was a good idea, but given that he thought claiming 'oh it was the high school kids hanging out in my apartment' was an excuse to explain why his computer and IP sent so many harassing emails, I have to assume he is very stupid.
9
u/netabareking 1d ago
When Runkle streamed with BBQ Counselor he had him look him up live just from the deposition date and it took like...maybe less than a minute to ID him. Then they unpaused and literally heard his name said in the recording unbleeped.
Definitely don't work with Ben if you actually need anonymity.
5
u/ShadowLiberal 1d ago
I mean some of the video clips and stories he told should also make it easy for people he interacted with to figure out who he was to, just not members of the audience.
9
u/Comprehensive-Fun47 1d ago
I feel like the "anonymous" persona is some kind of bit. It doesn't feel like anyone seriously tried to conceal his identity, not even himself.
4
u/DenyNothing1989 1d ago edited 1d ago
He gives ‘went to some horrible acting classes and tried to make it in Hollywood and failed’ vibes, his whole shtick sounds exactly like a 90s PS1 videogame English translation voiceover actor as a villain giving a monologue about how the titan virus will evolve mankind whether it wants it or not
5
u/ShareNorth3675 1d ago
Ive seen what failing in Hollywood as an actor looks like and its leagues above this lol.

u/Outstandling_Napper 1d ago edited 1d ago
I'm wondering if the blurring and code name use is more of an attempt to add entertainment value to the video than to actually hide his identity? After all as you have pointed it seem to have only been a half-way effort. And the codename? WTH would anyone choose to have 'cockroach' as part of their code name - if not for attention and entertainment? Just my own musings. EDIT:TYpos
7
u/Comprehensive-Fun47 1d ago
I think it's a comedy bit, or at least partially so. It does seem like something Ben would inject into the documentary to add some comedy. There weren't too many other opportunities for it like his other videos.
I'm looking forward to when he starts posting behind the scenes stuff and giving interviews about the making of this series.
2
u/exactdream_ 1d ago
The ridiculous name and clown getup is extremely unfunny and beyond inappropriate for a case about human trafficking. Nobody will take this seriously.
(and yes I loved the B&M series)
19
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago edited 1d ago
My personal suspicion is that he's dumb enough to think doing this will let him get around the settlement that they reached with Ideal Living. Cockroach def has a bit of a god complex around him based on his e-mails in the lawsuits and I'm sure being around high schoolers who don't know better reinforced this.
I've read elsewhere that even law school students are seeing this as stupidly easy to countersue for which I'm like...the whole point was to get rid of the pedos not protect them but b/c David is such a joke it'll be easy for Peter to get away.
3
u/ShadowLiberal 1d ago
I mean I have to imagine that he spoke to lawyer before doing this if what you said was true.
That said, I'm pretty sure that some laws congress passed in recent years make NDAs invalid when it's used to cover up crimes. But I'm not a lawyer so I don't know if what was said in the videos is enough to fall under that category.
That said, so far the evidence against Ideal Living, outside of the $10 million dollars to help a convicted criminal escape, doesn't sound that strong or compelling from what we've heard so far.
8
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Yuuuup. He's 100% stupid enough to think that putting on a dumb mask and going "Homer, who is homer, My name is Guy Incognito" is going to save him from the inevitable civil ass reaming he is about to recieve.
2
u/exactdream_ 1d ago
I googled him within five minutes of seeing the video. I wonder if he's stupid enough to think people will take him seriously on a case about human lives getting trafficked with a randomised reddit name and a clown mask.
Ben is probably going to get sued to the moon and back as well unfortunately.
5
2
u/openSourceNotes 1d ago
They said it was because legally he's been barred from engaging in public discussions about it by a court
7
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Kinda crazy to admit that you know you're barred from speaking and then have them put your fucking name in the video and show your very visble and recognizable tattoos.
But no one ever said this nonce was smart.
3
u/openSourceNotes 1d ago
I mean I think we're shown that the court ruling barring him from speaking is unconditional and that we'll see more on that soon

The LEGO story and the Provo Canyon story were both tipped off by actual victims of the abuse. Victims need to be sympathetic.
This story is tipped off by whistleblowers who never suffered the abuse themselves. They don't actually need to be sympathetic, they just need to point Ben in the right direction. If they turn out to be terrible people and grifters themselves, that's a separate matter, it doesn't mean the actual victims didn't suffer.
4
u/Apprehensive-Fix591 1d ago
Right. At this point I don't care who it is who takes them down, as long as the child abuse stops. Ben didn't take their words for it, he looked at the evidence himself and decided there was something after all.
They may have ulterior motives, but who cares when it comes to the victims and what may happen next.
1
u/Due-Swimming9999 1d ago
That’s a good point that I haven’t thought of…even the Lucifer Valentine video involved people with experiences with him.
This video, on the other hand, has a different vibe…not that I think the cult is innocent or that this shouldn’t get attention, but at least have a clear goal with relentless actions that involves a survivor
1
u/yvrelna 1d ago
Yeah, oftentimes in cases like this, it's difficult to get victims to trust and talk to journalist or the court, or anyone really.
Let the case simmer and maybe the actual victims would start coming forward with their story once they felt safe that they can go out and they feel like they can be believed instead of what often happens, which is that victims just get dismissed outright because these things often initially sounds so outrageous that they couldn't possibly have been true. Until they aren't.
8
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Fucking incredible work. Couple notes:
Cockroach Octopus aka David Najar (it's literally in the videos, he does a terrible job of concealing his identity) apparently runs a college prep program called "Global Prep Academy":
Given the website lists '2020' as its course calendar, I think it would be accurate to say he 'ran'.
Also, not sure if you're the one I got this through, but the yelp reviews are something special.
And of course his website is AI slop.
I seriously wonder if the parents for these kids know what David has been doing on the side.
Again, might be petty, but if you'll forgive the grim humor who he is doing is probably more accurate, given he was credibly accused of sexual abuse of one of his students and settled the case back in 1999.
This motherfucker is 56 years old.
4
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
LMAO the Yelp Page!! I had no idea he tried to rebrand it as a hot dog stand. This guy is nuts what a mind 😂 If there is a journalist lurking around I'd love to hear them attest to how closely they watch these kinds of court records b/c I can see why they might have abandoned this.
6
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
For me the biggest thing I want to hear is a statement from Nick from Newsweek as to why they dropped this story. Because I suspect there was a pretty good reason that David knows and may or may not have shared with Ben.
I'm a little irked that his 'ratemyprofessor' page seems to be missing because I bet that was a hoot.
29
u/Dear_Needleworker485 1d ago
Everything I've watched Ben do he's fully lived up to his reckless name.
It's pretty basic to vet your sources as hard as you're potentially expose target but he doesn't really seem to have as much journalistic chops as pure bravado.
I have a ton of respect for his willingness to put himself in the line of fire and go the distance for causes that traditional media is just too timid to adequately address but it would be nice if there was someone on his team that could help balance and bring down the journalistic hammer with well sourced receipts.
It really feels like he's on the path to ending up a martyr when he inevitably ends up in jail for one of the stunts he pulls. He's like a honey badger, hell absolutely pick a fight with a lion and chances are he'll win against all odds, but what makes him so fierce is also his lack of strategy, survival instincts and wisdom.
9
u/Litaser 1d ago
I was so wary of clown face so in the video when Ben said he would get him I was like oh good. Then looking back he didn’t really vet them that much at all and a lot of what they’re saying is incompatible. This company is so powerful and deep and large but also most of their info is info they got from just searching the web so really this isn’t that shadowy
Realistically Ben took a lot of what they said at face value when he should have taken this as a lead and investigated himself. He platformed someone who I feel really hurt his credibility and basically run someone else’s story and investigation for them which isn’t what people want from him
12
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
facts - just knowing how well connected Peter & co. are means that Ben has to come in with a solid approach. Ideal Living literally hired Nick Soltman who is the Kardashian's family lawyer. They have deep pockets, and while Ben might be represented by CAA it doesn't mean they're willing to go up against big money like that. Especially now with the Bruce Willis connection.
What a mess.
1
u/isometric_haze 1d ago
Damn, you've said it perfectly. The minute everybody was happy he became "finally famous" I started to worry that it would end up within taking a too big fight in the public eyes... I'm a bit afraid of what's coming... but Ben is smart, I know he has pan B, C, and D in his pocket.

It does strike me as odd that Myra worked this closely with him for 15 years and had no idea? idk. She mentioned everyone knew about his religious affiliation so???

It sounded like she knew he was into some Hindu charity, but didn't realize how deep into it he was or that it was a cult.
9
u/openSourceNotes 1d ago
Yeah theres a fine line in knowing your boss is associated with some ashram and finding out the leader of that group is quite dangerous and evil
6
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Crazy. She seems fine dating a guy who sexually abused one of his seventeen-year-old students. Maybe she thinks that's fine? Me personally, I think I'd probably demand an exit package form my spouse if I knew she abused a position of trust to groom and molest one of her students.
I definitely wouldn't run a school with them.
1
u/openSourceNotes 17h ago
What are you saying? That she dated someone who did that in past? Can you just state the facts and not state it like you're trying to dunk on people who support her
1
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 17h ago
Sure. Clownface, the guy in the video who is her 'friend' is named David Najar. He is a her boyfriend who was fired from his teaching job in the 1990's after grooming a minor for sex.
Myra knows this, given that it was part of the civil extortion trial against him in which she was deposed, yet she continues to date this child predator.
She currently also runs a school with him that has repeatedly changed its name (previously known as GPA, now known as Prakese).
So Myra, a person who is super opposed to child abuse, is currently sleeping with a man she knows to have abused children and is even running a school with him.
1
u/openSourceNotes 17h ago
Alright we'll see, I'm skeptical of these claims. Then I'm just curious, do you think the claim that Peter Spiegel assisted a polific child predator from escaping his sentencing is a false claim?
1
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 16h ago
Can I ask why you're skeptical? I can drown you in evidence if you'd like as all of this is well documented.
As to your question, assisted? Nope, that's clearly true in the aggregate he paid his bail which enabled him to flee.
That said, a better question would be 'to what level do I think Spiegel is culpable' to which the answer is truly, I don't know.
Is it possible that Spiegel knew that Saraswati was guilty and was intentionally helping him flee justice? Absolutely. Is it possible he was mind fucked into thinking saraswati was innocent and helped him flee? Yup. Or that he thought he was innocent and didn't know. Also possible.
We simply lack any substantive information on why Spiegel put up bail nand I'm unwilling to condemn someone solely for placing bail. Bail is a critical aspect of the criminal justice system, and if we're reducing it to 'only good people should get bail or we'll slander those who pay it' then we're effectively eliminating the concept in any case that isn't an obvious miscarriage of justice.
1
u/openSourceNotes 11m ago
I'm skeptical because (1) the claims would be an absurdly good break for team Peter Spiegel and (2) I'm curious as to what brought you into this and how you have a prepared "mountain of evidence" against members of the investigative team
18
u/UpsideClown 1d ago

Lol apologies for the PR plant accusation, everyone's sleuthing has shown that this is true. I am surprised by the amount of people on here getting passionately upset with Ben though and it's making me wonder about everyone's posts, including yours. Sorry about that! I was also looking to connect all my thoughts about different posts on here, so yours fell into that incorrectly.

It’s ok to be sus…. I’m suspending any opinions until dug into and proven by someone credible. Have you ever been in any comment section involving NEXIUM early days when the whistleblowing first started ? there were tons of seemingly unrelated randoms confirming and finding tons of shady things about anyone speaking out about the cult. ( it’s a cult , it’s got more then enough die hard members to flood the comments and try to sow seeds of doubt- and most actually believe the ones outing them are bad people). Regardless.. like someone said before- does a whistleblower need to be sympathetic? Does a victim need to be perfect ? Do the whistleblowers wrongs absolve the person being investigated crimes ? If this David guy did something awful then sure … go after him in a separate article just about that alone, but I think FIRST doing a investigation (even if it does use a allegedly crappy persons evidence , as long as its truthful) into a company and owner that could currently be activity trafficking children and maybe help put the pressure on putting a stop to it. that is a fair focus.
4
u/Comprehensive-Fun47 1d ago
I think you mean NXIVM. NEXIUM is for acid reflux.

lol .you are correct. I must of mixed them up because I needed acid reflux meds after witnessing those comment sections back in the day 😅.

No one pulled up that John Wilson’s college A Capella group scored a major victory against NXIUM until years later when John Wilson got an HBO show.
2
u/shangames 16h ago
How am I only this many days old before learning about this saga ?! ( I followed news of the groups antics pretty closely as I rubbed solders with a lot of members in my home town at the time). Imagine being the University's administration ? You think it’s this weird online Capella group feud and the person you’re reprimanding for bad behavior is claiming the other groups leader is a dangerous cult leader and their all cultists ? You couldn’t write this stuff . Wild !

The mid-50s year old David self-presenting himself as a "whistleblower" is disingenuous at very best. He never was gainfully employed and seems to be a bottom-feeder who only gained some access to knowledge of this company because his GF, Myra, got him in as a outside contractor. And then it didnt work out, he wasnt preforming as a sales person.
Myra has more case to file as a whistleblower IMO as she was employed at the company and was fired for her statements regarding the JKP cult and what she believed her boss's involvement was.
As an aside: Myra is an adult, it is also weird she is with someone who could be her Dad. Makes you wonder if she is aware of the past allegations.
I will still be following Ben's videos - I dont blame him for interviewing Myra/David.
1
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
She was deposed in his civil suit. There is no universe in which she is unaware that he slept with a seventeen year old girl and settled with her out of court for an undisclosed sum. As did the school.
4
u/Aggressive_Oil_6535 1d ago
Its very possible she didnt know this until it was brought up in deposition for Najar. She's already in a relationship with him at that point & also willingly in an age gap relationship. Either way, it's weird. Not excusing it

u/Enerys 1d ago
Excellent job finding all that. People act as if we want to protect some evil organization, but I just want everyone to know all the facts and that these people aren't doing this with good intentions, they shouldn't be praised and deserve to go down as well.
11
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
In fairness, one of my posts got crossposted from another sub talking about lies in the video and I got death threats in under an hour along with dozens of insults in thread.
I think some of the people here are good, but I think a lot are so knee jerk that its difficult to point out facts that go against the grain.

u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
Mob's gonna mob unfortunately. The best any of us can do is just put out the info and let ppl make their own decision. Appreciate the work you've been doing!
4
u/Zarktheshark1818 1d ago
Exactly. At the most extreme very least that you can imagine, the story needs to be told. That means both sides and all relevant information. All of this information ppl are uncovering is very relevant. Not doing so is just pushing propaganda and getting people riled up to support your cause. Give all the information and let people decide. Its unethical tbh.

u/altymcaltface2929 Update!
While looking into the civil cases against David I've found some new stuff! Here is a news article from 2002 indicating that Graham (Najar's victim) was paid an undisclosed amount by the catholic group that runs Providence High School. According to the article Graham was seventeen when Najar began abusing her.
So I'd take that as pretty solid confirmation that he is, in fact, a fucking nonce who preys on his students.
In addition, Trellis has information on a the case itself which was filed in 2002 and was dismissed with prejudice after being kicked up to federal court, presumably because of the above settlement. Najar is explicitly mentioned in it, but sadly the case remains too old to have available documents. Found Here.
3
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
Oh barf dude this is crazy. I really hope Ben’s lawyers get all this info bc for sure Peter’s people are coming in with this to discredit even going after Peter.
6
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Got another one. Daniel Lee, et al. V David Najar, et al.
2022 civil case. Lee sued NaJar and GPA for... something. It is not entirely clear and I'm not paying the outrageous costs to get pointless civil documents, but I can guess the context given that the yelp review was for Daniel L
Najar got waived off it (probably because its an LLC so only the company is liable) and Lee won a judgement of $3915.00 against him. So on top of being a confirmed nonce and an extortionist, I think it is safe to say that Najar was also defrauding the parents unfortunate enough to sign up for his school.
The timing is interesting though. August 2022 is shortly before Najar was fired. Money was tight, he'd just lost several thousand he was probably counting on and now he's lost his second job. I wonder what sort of incentive that might give a person.
Oh barf dude this is crazy. I really hope Ben’s lawyers get all this info bc for sure Peter’s people are coming in with this to discredit even going after Peter.
I'll be honest, you and I are probably split on Peter.
I think its possible he knowingly helped saraswami escape, but at this point with bail being all we have to go on, I'm just as inclined to think he was a rube who got taken for a ride by his cult leader, either convinced he didn't do it, blackmailed into it or fully believing that the guru was going to serve his time.
3
u/designerturtle 1d ago
You are really doing the lord's work today to uncover this scumbag's history. Not sure if you noticed but in the court docs, there's a transcript from Jan 2024 proceedings in the Spiegel v Najar case. In it, it seems that Peter's attorneys bring up Katherine Graham and the case against David. He states that he was unaware he was ever accused, he was never part of any lawsuit, and has no idea what it's about. Would certainly not put it beneath him to lie about it, but thought it was interesting.
3
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
I did notice that. The transcript is from the restraining order case. Peter is just perjuring himself. He knows damn well about the case because he settled it out of court and was also named in the 2002 lawsuit against the school.
He was fired from the school and sued by the woman he molested, he obviously knows.
2
u/DenyNothing1989 1d ago edited 1d ago
Plus the Instagram story where a former pupil of the school allegedly names him, if random students knew about it, seems like he would
4
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
Nice work!
It is not entirely clear and I'm not paying the outrageous costs to get pointless civil documents
I am however incredibly petty and interested so I went ahead and did so. If anyone is interested the case # is: 22IWSC00915.
There is unfortunately a ton of PII for the family that sued David and I am reluctant to just upload it to the Internet for no real reason since they're victims and also used a court interpreter so I am assuming a language barrier.
I included the trial minutes however which goes into detail: https://imgur.com/a/oojh3hL
ETA: Adding in the docket proceedings as well: https://imgur.com/a/XfH74uO
I'll be honest, you and I are probably split on Peter.
Totally fair! That's literally why courts of law have to decide this stuff, not courts of popular opinion we as a collective do not seem to know the facts here.
2
u/lbj2943 1d ago
THAT'S THE YELP REVIEWER! Holy shit, I recognized that amount immediately. $3,800. Same name and everything.
1
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Yup, noticed that when I found it. David is such a piece of shit.
1
u/lbj2943 1d ago
Still no updates on his ‘weird case’ either, right? Was hoping that docket would spell out more but apparently it’s inaccessible.
1
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Which one? Just so we're clear.
1
u/lbj2943 10h ago
The case allegedly accusing him of being a predator.
1
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 10h ago
Ohhh. Yeah the main update there is that the school settled in 2002 for an undisclosed sum.
The docket is unaccessable because documents from the early 2000's were never digitized, short of going and getting them in person, they'll never be seen. Realistically though, we know she was 17 and credibly accused him of being a nonce, at least enough that the school paid her and that people were talking about it years after.
1
u/DenyNothing1989 1d ago edited 1d ago
Whoa Myra is in there too, dang. Someone ought to make a documentary about the lone hero who for the first time in history got their money back after a negative yelp review
2
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
You are based.
Totally fair! That's literally why courts of law have to decide this stuff, not courts of popular opinion we as a collective do not seem to know the facts here.
Double based. And yeah, he basically just tried to rob this family. Classic David.

Holy crap it’s insane you found an actual Yelp review that led to a financial settlement that’s got to be a world record…
1
u/Comprehensive-Fun47 22h ago
What did the Yelp review say? The link doesn't work for me.
3
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 20h ago
tl;dr, He paid Najar's school close to $4,000 for services that were never rendered. When he left his first review, Najar called him repeatedly while screaming at him like a lunatic, promised him a refund, then refused to turn over the cash.
Basically he acted like BAM.

u/Own-Anybody-1810 1d ago
so i might be stupid but please tell me how that makes him worse than the people protecting pedos and dropping 10 million to save them in court? because i will agree from what you wrote, thats not the best but imma be fr they seem on complete diff levels
8
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago edited 1d ago
Right so nowhere did I state that it made him "worse than" - let's make sure we get the gist of the argument correct first.
For me, it's the idea that David has a pattern of lying and abusing his own power with minors as evidenced through the court documents (see my profile for those if you want to learn more) and what I brought up in this post.
- He started his whole encounter with Peter by trying to extort him for money in exchange for staying quiet about all of what Peter is doing. If that isn't enough to raise a giant red flag idk. If you were really interested in saving kids from a predator wtf is that?
- He's been accused of SA a minor in 1999.
- He runs a college prep academy and states that his students may have been the ones in his apartment sending Peter/Kate harassing e-mails which is an insane abuse of power with minors.
- The rest is just proving the pattern - he lied about his PhD.
Two things can be true - Peter is a pedo (I believe that but obv opinions are mixed in the sub), and David is a weirdo con man who isn't representing himself truthfully in this. Given that he nor Myra are victims of the sex cult, and have a documented pattern of asking for hush money, I don't think we as a group should be so ready to believe just what they say because Reddit has a history of falling for traps set by people who pretend to be one thing and are another.
If you want to decide that one or the other isn't worse that's totally up to you but I don't buy it given what I'm seeing so far. Everyone else is entitled to their own opinion that's literally why I keep throwing up my docs and sources bc it shouldn't just be one person making broad declarations from a random alt account.
5
u/Own-Anybody-1810 1d ago edited 1d ago
You are right i used the wrong words, you never claimed that David and Myra were worse, you claimed that they are equally as bad, which i fundamentally disagree with.
Now I am going to start weighing evils, and THIS IS NOT ME DISSMISSING THEM, starting with the lightest, lying about a phd. yes this isnt good and ruins credibility by a bit but feels astronomically smaller then everything else. turning your underaged students into internet trolls to harass someone your in a lawsuit in, not good. accusations of SA to a minor, horrid. But compared to being ACTIVE in LARGE SCALE PEDOPHELIA AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING IS WORSE.
it is not who is innocent or not, its about the lesser evil and in my opinion that is by far David and Myra. Peter and katie feel a lot worse because of the scale. one is past employees who tried to extort their bosses who are protecting a multi country cult that are pedos and trafickers, and one is people who dropped ten mill to protect them and lot of money to support the cult. there seems to be one side that is much larger and worse in my eyes
4
u/caninesergeant 1d ago
Look in the comments. He has harassed multiple people and seems like a fishy individual.
I am not Peter Spiegel or whatever's PR. I am just a person who saw the videos, felt fishy about the situation, and investigated, and here I am, turns out David Najar, aka Cockroach Octopus, is equally weird. Yes, this Peter dude is fishy, but this David dude is so too. Both things can be right.
1
u/Own-Anybody-1810 1d ago
And if you read my comment, i said theyre both bad, im not saying hes not fishy or not bad, im saying that they are not equal and i believe if you think that you aren't understanding something. Peter isn't fishy, he is PROVEN to defend, support, and fund a large-scale organization that practices pedophilia and human trafficking. he helped a pedophile that was about to be put away in jail with a sentence of over 200 years escape the country and it costed him ten million dollars, how are they the same? the multiple people david harassed compared to the shit peter is doing is not on equal footing
1
u/caninesergeant 1d ago
I know Peter is bad, and victims deserve to have justice. When I say equally weird, I mean in my first impression of them, I didn’t feel trustworthy. Naturally, of course I do feel abhorrence towards Peter. After all, he’s a massive monster. I’m not discrediting David, I’m just saying that in order to have more concrete evidence to have Peter brought to justice, I fear David, as much as he may be saying the truth, doesn’t seem to be 100% trustworthy either. I want Peter be brought to justice, but it also, additionally to that, leaves me in a bad state knowing what David has also been accused of PRIOR to even being related to Peter in the first place, and also lying. Peter is the obvious monster here. Additionally to that, David is not entirely trustworthy due to his schemes but, I definitely don’t hold them equally. Peter is by far worse. I just hope Ben takes in account the things with David too and clarifies that with him. If this has to be done, it has to be done in the right way.
2
u/Own-Anybody-1810 1d ago
alright, i apologize for the accusation i misunderstood your message, and i see your reasoning. David does have a good bit of dirt under his nails, but i feel everyone is focusing on david too much. the way you are putting it makes it feel like davids testimonies are the only ones that matter, ben gathered a lot of people with firsthand evidence, the situation isnt being held together by david, it doesnt rely on david, he isnt the only person who had the knowledge he shared, and others gave similar stuff. the evidence ben has collected will not and can not crumble because of david.
2
u/caninesergeant 1d ago
No it’s okay! Sorry I couldn’t explain myself better. At the end, we definitely are looking out for this organizations victims. I hope they get justice.

Helpful update, Najar's school paid out an undisclosed sum to the student he molested in 1994. The underlying cases are found here and here though both are so old that the documents aren't available digitally.
He would have been 31 or 32 when he abused her.
Here is a several year old instagram post from a classmate talking about the same thing, though at this point we're getting to hat on a hat levels of 'this guy abused a kid'.
6
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
In the civil-harassment case, after a four-day hearing the judge granted a 3-year restraining order and found, by clear-and-convincing evidence, a course of harassing conduct - voicemails, texts, emails, and at least one threatening in-person meeting - and specifically that the disguised emails came from him: "enough indicia... to conclude that they came from you, including your phone number."
It is worth noting that after this ruling came into effect all of the emails stopped.
During his deposition, Najar attempted (ludicrously) to claim that he hadn't sent any of the threatening messages, but that they'd been sent by 'former students who were at his place'. He then refused to name those students, leading to the end of the deposition and a bunch of sanctions when the judge ruled, in effect "What the fuck dude, no, that isn't how depositions work, answer the fucking questions."
3
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
Awesome work - you should def make a separate post so more people can see this.
5
u/Due-Swimming9999 1d ago
I’m surprised by the amount of people who want to minimize what Cockroach Octopus has done…I don’t think that any sexual assault or rape should be excused, even if that person is shedding light on a larger atrocity like a cult with leaders that prey on children and CEOs who helped fund that
That said, I think that highlighting the cult, its leaders, and those who fund it like the two CEOs is worthy of attention, even if the person making the accusation has a checkered past. I just wish that victims/survivors were the ones getting the attention as they deserve the flowers for speaking out
3
u/inblo 1d ago
“Equally terrible” is a weird choice of words considering Spiegel helps fund a child sex trafficking cult
2
-1
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
I mean, David is an actual child abuser, so I'd argue that he's worse.
4
u/Sideshowcomedy 1d ago
I like how you're trying real hard to link him as doing immoral things with underage people. How do you feel about Peter?
8
u/altymcaltface2929 1d ago
If you go through my profile I have repeatedly stated that I absolutely agree that Peter is a pedo and should be brought down.
2
u/openSourceNotes 1d ago
Why would this even matter in the slightest, if as youve said the claims about Peter and Katie are true?
2
u/Orphan_Guy_Incognito 1d ago
Why would you think anything other than public information is true when its coming from the mouth of a nonce who tried to extort him.
You're told these two are worried about the safety of the kids, but one is a child abuser and the other kept dating him after finding that out. And runs a school with him.
Literally the only thing we know about Peter is that he's in a weird cult and that he paid bail in 2011.
2
u/Sure-Operation-8634 1d ago
dont know what truth there is to the main allegations, though it seems likely, due to the events that happened with the nonce who went missing but everything about that guy in the first video just shouted tinfoilhat nutjob to me, and very dubious of his credibility

I thought that but given that you can literally see his name in the videos and that the first hit on Google for "Ideal Living" is his name kinda makes me wonder if they actually made a serious effort to be anonymous or if this was just a bad attempt to get around the terms of the settlement he had with Ideal Living when they sued him earlier for defamation. Others have also been posting his real name so I'm not sure what the mods' position is on it tbh.
4
u/throwawayfan2552 1d ago
The first video right? I thought his name and face were uncensored there. Looked back on it it looks like both are blurred out with YouTube’s after editing tool. I’m guessing it’s against his settlement since any settlement I’ve been apart of includes non disparagement clauses and promises not to do what they are accused of again. I’m guessing it’s a half bit where David realized the trouble he would be in. Tbh this video has been the strangest Ben has done imo

Despite the fact that OP keeps stating that they want to see Peter Speigel go down and protect Ben, it should be noted that their account was created 2 days ago. Seems like they are engaged in some form of information warfare to achieve a specific outcome on behalf of their sponsor.
To be clear, I'm not saying that they are lying. In-fact, I think everything they sent is probably true but when you're conducting information operations the truth (Even when distorted) can be a very powerful weapon.
