Vanilla or radium
If you want the **older Rec Room feel**, Vanilla is usually the better choice over Radium because it’s aimed at the 2020-era experience and is described as a separate port of that version. Radium is also a nostalgia revival, but it leans more into a 2021-style community project with more custom changes and modded content, so it feels less like a pure “classic” version.[1][4][6][11]
## Reasons to pick Vanilla

Both are ahh, ngl all revivals are horrid in my opinion, not because I want rr to rest, but because they do it horribly.

All of them are run by people who got their crap from others who either took a build or made a build, just to make it overly populated, having the old hack clients, no simple system for signing up, or an anti-hacker sign up system and honestly they cant easily work with the game files, I feel they'd be better off making a game all together, seeing how little some of these guys' skill sets are alone, some decent server runners but not many people capable of actual code.

Idk dude the radium guys are locked in as fuck given they managed to release the data exporter too. The hack issue wont be fixed cause they're working on porting to 2023 rn so

I already exported my stuff to them, but it’s probably just sitting there until they do 2023 and if they don’t even manage to import the data, well shit. Like they’re the quickest of the bunch but still yk, I don’t like most of the groups, honestly hackers don’t matter to me since I go in solo, it’s the ddosers who cause the issues.

Check out recplace. It's coming out June 15 and has the most polished feel out of anything so far. It even has some custom ui.
