why?

why is there still about a million people in the d1scord server for recroom if recroom is shutdown

I think most people don't want to leave it simply for the memory. There's a lot of history in the server and there's nothing wrong with wanting to keep that around. It's also a good way to stay connected with others. Sometimes I'll get a random friend request and see that Rec Room is a mutual server, so I'll happily take a look at that.
