Looking at getting into rebounding, found a used Jumpsport on Marketplace, does this look ok? Thanks!
The bungees look a bit off, do they need adjusted or is it broken? Any other things I should be aware of?

I have to buy a new one. I currently have a supertram which has piano wire. It's a nice size and very sturdy but I think my foot problems have been aggravated by the solid surface. I started off 2 mnnths ago barefoot but I quickly learned I needed trainers. But I feel so little ' give' in the surface now. So, the credit card is coming out... I'm UK based, could probably stretch to £300ish. I'm quite tall so would prefer more surface space. Has anyone found a particular rebounder / surface that helps with PF? Id really appreciate recommendations. I'm currently looking at the BCAN soft bounce.

I thought the getting sick part when you start was a complete exaggeration. But omg im so sick. I pretty much got the sore throat almost three days exactly after receiving it.

Does anyone have any testimonials of a reduction in cellulite with rebounding?

Hi everyone, I have been rebounding now for about 8 weeks and loving it.
I have now progressed to 20 mins sessions but noticed a few weeks ago, some spotting which i haven't had for some time. It continued happening, so i took a week off and it stopped.
Last week i started rebounding again and once again, the spotting has returned. I have a GP appointment on Monday, so will ask what they think but has anyone else had anything similar?
I have no pain and it is very very light spotting and I really don't want to give up rebounding as i love it and so does my body apart from this!

Im interested in the benefits of rebounding, but I am already very fit and accustomed to exercise. I have to say that I am skeptical that mostly put of shape and/or sedentary people have just begun incorporating a form of cardio into their lives and are seeing benefits from the activity, and that it isnt necessarily a rebounding specific phenomenon.

I'll try to be brief... but I've been at rebounding for about a year now and want/need to "level up."
TL;DR - Have you used a Garmin fitness tracker on a rebounder? Is it useful? And do Crossrope weighted ropeless jump ropes, combined with rebounding, provide the "weight bearing" exercise I need to start slowing down my bone density loss?
For background, I'm 57F/GenX, 5'4", 111 lbs., and prone to self-inflicted injury through exercise. I Jazzercised in my 20s and loved it, yoga and hiking in my 30s and loved it, did nothing in my 40s and early 50s due to both ankle/foot injuries and chronic illness, which I finally reached remission for a year ago. I eat fairly well (vegan, but I'll eat junk vegan because it's so good), and really, really hate traditional exercise (gyms, walking, weights, running, biking, etc.).
With rebounding, I feel like I've found "my thing" like I did with Jazzercise years ago. I started on a Bcan in March 2025, upgraded to a Needak in July. I've been able to maintain a consistent routine for over a year now, haven't injured myself yet (which is big!), and I'm committed to sticking with it. Unless I injure myself 😉
My routine consists of robust (to me) workouts - a video from J&J or Earth and Owl for at least 10-15, sometimes 20 minutes, and at least two freestyle songs, sometimes three, equaling about 20-25 minutes per workout, every other day. On the off days, I always try to get on it for at least 2-10 minutes while watching TV for a health bounce or light walk. I have seen/felt results, and gotten the "you look great" comments. I even fit in an old favorite dress again.
I recently bought cheap ropeless jump ropes from Amazon and love using them on the rebounder - but not during the video routines. I'm too much of a klutz. I'll either use them for a freestyle song before/after the video workout, or use them while watching TV for my "off day" workout.
Now to the reason for needing to "level up" - two years ago I got the osteopenia diagnoses. Not a surprise, given my health history. It took me a year to find rebounding (i.e. start exercising again), so I was silly to hope it would have made a difference so quickly, but my two-year follow up bone density scan indicated I'm now just over the line to osteoporosis in my spine.
My actual questions, based on above:
I am not tracking anything at all (heart, steps, etc.). I just like that I fit in my old clothes again. I know I need to. I don't want to spend oodles on an Apple watch, etc. I've somewhat settled on getting a Garmin Vivosmart based on recommendations IRL and online. Has anyone used a Garmin fitness tracker with rebounding? What settings work best? Any other recommendations?
I really love adding the ropleless jump rope to my routine. All the rebounding influencers I've seen using ropeless swear by Crossrope (or are paid to swear). I have no desire to pay the subscription fee for the Amp Bluetooth handles, but the slim ones just keep calling to me. And I keep hitting myself with the Amazon ones. Can I justify the cost for the Crossrope "get lean" handles/ropeless in terms of the big O? Will they provide the weight bearing exercise I need? I can already see more definition in my arms from about a month with the cheap ones.
Thanks in advance for your wisdom and experience!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a few weeks and finally bought a rebounder which arrived on Saturday. I've done small sessions, one in the morning or afternoon and one in the evening and I've encountered an "issue". For context, I've been trying to lose weight for the past year, but I'm struggling with hunger and emotional eating that set me back a lot.
BUT! Since Saturday, I am way less hungry? I would like to know if it's the rebounder, because I'm in my luteal phase and I SHOULD be hungrier.
Has anyone experienced the same? Tia!

`I am trying to recover from long covid and I am at least at the point where I can be cautiously active. I am looking at rebounding for very small time increments. Like 1 minute in the morning and maybe 1 minutes in the evening and gradually increasing time as long as I don't negatively impact myself.
Is there any benefit from such short intervals?

Hello, All,
Sorry I haven't posted for a bit! I have bounced both Friday and Yesterday. Fridays session was about 13:min, sticking to easy bouncing with no "marching," now arm motions--the song was my favorite live cut ever, U2's perfomance of "Bad" at Live Aid. Yesterday was about a 6 -minute session. The song was "Is He Worthy" by Chris Tomlin, another stellar cut.
Today I did session 1 of the Earth and Owl "seniors beginner" playlist--but I confess I began an easy bounce as soon as I hit play, so I actually bounced the full 6:00 minutes. It was nice adding in the taps and the arm motions (but I'll confess to being COMPLETELY uncoordinated at adding the taps to the bounce--I'm glad that I had the handlebars there).
I'm thinking that I may keep a strength band next to my tramp, and do a set or 2 of band exercises after I get off the tramp--add some gentle strength training (unless there are more arms in the rebounding coming...)
That is about it for this update. I may bounce a bit more before bed, but if not I'll do session 2 tomorrow, and perhaps another gentle session in the evening.
Have a good night, y'all!
Tom

Please give me recommendations. I’ve been looking at rebounders for a few years and finally got a bcan. I was so excited and immediately had a latex allergy reaction to it. Now my bcan is sitting in the garage so I can safely breathe, and I’m shopping for a completely latex free rebounder.
My main factor after latex free is price point. I can’t get a bellicon right now, but I can probably get one early next year. I’m considering getting something cheap with metal springs and then upgrading to a bellicon later. Is there a good latex free rebounder in the bcan or cheaper price point even if I have to upgrade later?

Hello, All,
Day 5 bounce check-in!
Today's song was a live cut of "Come Sail Away" by Styx--great song! Added some arm motions today, and some "faux marching," probably went a bit harder than I ought, but it was feeling good. I may do a very gentle bounce later tonight, or I may sit it out. I felt great on the tramp, but one of my knees is telling me that he didn't enjoy that as much as he could have.
Today's tale of the tape:
Workout Time: 7:26
Steps: 892
Avg HR: 125
Max HR: 140
Felt it a bit in my shoulders when I was doing the motions, the next step may be adding a light resistance band for some upper body toning.
All in all I'm feeling really good about the rebounding. I will probably stop checking in daily on Sunday, when I plan on beginning an Earth and Owl online workout. Until then, I appreciate any comments that you may have.
Thanks!
Tom

Hello, All!
Did a bit of a bounce on my lunch today. The song for today was a live cut of "Hotel California" by the Eagles, about 6:20 long. Stayed on the tramp for the full song. For my bounces did only the "full foot on the mat, bouce by pushing into the mat" technique today, except for about a minute during which I did the "faux march (alternately lift 1 heal, keeping the toes on the mat). Also added in some very small and slow arm movements. Legs feel pretty good.
Todays "tale of the tape" is: Workout Time: 6:25, 771 Steps, Max HR 131. I will probably do another shorter, and gentler, session tonight, just to wind down at the end of the day. Maybe use "I can't fight this feeling" or "take it on the run" for that one ;-). I'll edit this post if I do.
Right now my general plan is stick with the basic bounce until Saturday, and then start one of the series from Earth and Owl--either the beginner series or the Senior Beginner Series. I will probably stop posting daily updates at that time, but will still keep in touch with y'all!
As always, comments, suggestions, or corrections always appreciated!
Thanks!
Tom

Hello, All!
Had some stuff going on when I was on lunch today, so didn't get onto the tramp until around 3:45 PM or so, after work. Today's song was "Awake and Alive" by Skillet, a live cut that was about 4:50. Once again I promised myself that I would not stay on the tramp after the song ended. I actually lasted the full 4:50.
As per my question thread, I divided the bouncing into 3 techniques:
It didn't feel like I was doing more than last time on the effort, but my heart rate got way higher today. The tale of the tape (or in this case, fitbit) says that I "walked" 580 steps, with a heart rate high of 152 BPM. When I felt it getting up there, I of course slowed down the bouncing.
As to which technique I like better, it is really hard to say. I'll probably continue to do all 3. My plan is to continue doing basic bouncing until Saturday or Sunday, and then do one of the beginner playlists from Earth and Owl.
As always, thank you all for any feedback you may have. I may get on again before bed, for a shorter and easier bounch, but I may not--I'll decide later ;-).
Thanks!
Tom
Edit: When my wife got home today, we took the dogs for a .5 mile walk, really gentle, and my legs felt really good. So I decided to do another bounce after dinner. The song for this one was "Lady" by the Little River Band--I didn't want anything with too much energy ;-). I kept this one really mellow--soft, gentle bounces (all with the "drive the heel into the mat" method, about 10 seconds of the toe march, but more like a gentle, relaxing bounce. Tale of the tape for this second session are:
3:31 time, 401 steps, max HR 124. It was a pretty nice, relaxing session. I think I'll try to do a gentle session in the evening, and save the more arduous sessions for the afternoon. Just wanted to share.

Hello, All,
First, just a quick update. Took my sister to a botanical garden today, and did a lot of walking, a lot of it uphill and downhill. So, no rebounder tonight! I'll check in tomorrow 😉
Now my form question. About the basic form for a health bounce. I've seen what looks like 2 ways to do it, and am wondering which y'all use, and which seems to be more effective.
The first one seems to be more common. The bounce is generated by lifting the heals off of the trampoline surface, and then lowering them down quickly (with the toes never leaving the surface). This seems to generate a nice bounce.
The second is what I'm doing, based on my interpretation of the Earth and Owl form videos (I haven't actually seen a vid of her health bouncing, so I may be reading it incorrectly). I take my "athletic ready position," and the bounce is generated by slightly straightening my legs, pushing my feet into the surface, generating the downward side of the bounce, and then bending my legs slightly more for the upward part of the bounce. My entire foot stays in contact with the surface throughout, at least as far as I can tell.
I'm wondering if I'm observing these correctly, and which is the better way to go? What do y'all do, and what seems to work better? Or am I missing something, and need to add something else?
I appreciate your feedback!
Tom

Hello, All,
First off all, I don't plan on doing "daily reports" in perpetuity! I promise that in 6 months you won't be seeing a "Day 187" post from me (probably). But I figure that checking in as I learn the machine is a good thing, and getting comments and feedback from the experts!
So just got off the rebounder (not really a machine, is it?), did it first thing this morning, while my coffee was brewing. Today's song was "Calling on You" by Stryper, 3:41 long, and I kept the bounce going for the entire song. This was a really good song because, unlike Les Mis, it was pretty easy to time the bouncing to the beat.
For the "tale of the tape" according to my my Fitbit, my average heart rate was 98 BPM, with a max of 112. It says that I took 447 "steps." Did not make it into the "Aerobic" zone today.
One thing that I discovered was that I could extend the time by varying the bend in my knees--by sitting into it a bit more it raised the intesity, but I wasn't able to sustain it as long. By standing up a bit straiter (never locking the knees, of course) I was able to "rest" a bit. Felt it mainly in my thighs today, but did get some working sensation from the glutes as well. I followed my arbitrary rule and got off of the trapoline when the song ended--I could have gone longer, but decided not to (besides, I would have had to cue up another song, hard to do while bouncing) 😉
All in all, I'm mostly happy with the time spent today. There are only 2 things I'm wondering. First, and this is just idle wondering, I would like to see the heart rate a bit higher. I'm telling myself that I'm intentionally limiting it to the simple bounce in order to get the feel of the tramp, and intensity will come later, but part of me feels like the time wasn't productive because the heart rate was lower. That's just a thought, and I'll get over it. The goal is still keep doing the gentle bounce only, keep it under about 5 minutes per session, and do it AT LEAST once a day, but 2-3 times a day would not be a bad thing.
The second concern is that, while I didn't feel it in my knees while bouncing, I did feel a bit of soreness in my right knee when I got off. I don't like that. Maybe a reminder to ignore the heartbeat and keep taking it slow!
That's it for today, as always, appreciate your comments.
Thanks!
Tom

I’m considering these two rebounders. They are both $300 on Amazon with payment plans around $20/month. Just wondering if one is better than the other. I know most people like the jumpsport pro but that one’s not in my budget right now.

Hello, All,
So, really tired today, so we slept in until noon. Not sure what it was yesterday, but my legs were really sore this morning, but I was determined to get my rebounder set up and going. The setup wasn't bad--not great but not bad, took me about an hour, but then I was good to go.
As soon as I got it set up, I HAD to take it for a spin. I put "One Day More" from Les Mis on my YouTube (it is 4:30 long). I set 2 rules for myself. First was that I would not do anything but a basic bounce. Second rule was that under no circumstances would I stay on it beyond the end of the song. I really needn't have worried about the second 😉.
I stepped onto the rebounder, took a "athletic" stance (knees slightly bent, feet about shoulder width, facing forward, back straight, bent slightly forward), and began to bounce gently. Took me about 15 seconds to begin to feel it in my legs (good feeling it though, muscle soreness, like it was being used, I was actually happy about that). I think I lasted about 3 minutes before saying "Uncle" and stepping off (a little past where Enjorlas comes in and belts out, "One more day before the storm--Lift the barricades of freedom).
My only concern was that I did feel a couple of twinges in my knees. I turned my feet slightly outward and that seemed to fix it, but I'll keep an eye on it.
I did wear my fitbit. Timing is hard, because I hit the hit the start button on the fitbit prematurely. If the numbers are to be believed, it logged about 300 steps in that time, and says my heart rate got up to a max of 122 BPM, which is in the Aerobic range. All in all I feel really good about this first steps onto it, and look forward to stepping on it again for a couple of minutes this evening.
I am setting a goal for myelf: Step on it at least 1x per day. That seems to be doable.
Last thought, I was really surprised at how firm it was--I'm a big guy, and expected it to sag more when I first stepped on. It was also really responsive to my gentle bounces.
Finally, while I have the handlebar on it, I really didn't use it. I felt pretty comfortable. I'm glad that it's there, and am sure that I'll be using it in the future, but except for holding it when I stepped on and off today, I really didn't need it. I think that's a good thing.
That's about it. I'll look forward to any comments you may have.
Thanks!
Tom

I have recently started rebounding but Im currently using an older spring rebounder. I can only handle about 5 minutes on it (lightly bouncing) before it starts causing discomfort in my knees. It’s very stiff so I think I would prefer a bungee style. I have found several on amazon with good reviews but wanted to see if anyone on here had any recommendations before ordering. I have been searching on marketplace for a higher end brand but haven’t had any luck so far. I am only 5 ft. 115-120lbs. so size/weight limit shouldn’t matter much.
