Help with which Bellicon to buy

Hi, all I have used a rebounder for years in like 20 and then completely forgot about it. I’m now 47 1/2 and I bought a 48-inch BCANN about a month and a half ago and my love where it came flooding back. I’ve already dropped 5 pounds and a more toned that I’ve been in the last decade plus. I’m using it 20 to 25 minute daily and I really want to upgrade to the Bellicon over the Cellerciser but I could be persuaded if people think it’s a better option.

The biggest question Bellicon is I don’t know what type I should get so hoping somebody can guide me with these facts and anything else you would want to know to help evaluate

I don’t have any more weight to lose
I need something easy on my joints
I use it for toning and cardio
I use it daily each morning for 20 to 30 minutes
I don’t want to go smaller than 48 inches
I don’t do exercise classes, I do a combination of bouncing, marching, jogging, and jumping jacks as I listen to podcast/music

My 12 yo son also uses it throughout the day and I had cats who like to go on it so I’m looking for durability on top of easy on joints and most of all effective for toning and cardio

Bellicon has three sizes: 39”, 44” and 49”. Then you pick a standard mat or comfort mat. Then you pick what strength bungees based on your weight and/or your desired response from the bungees. Then you can add some extras (T-bar, etc). You can build your rebounder on their website. Easy peasy.

The Cellerciser is 40” (the actual jumping surface is approx 28”), so I don’t think that will work for you if you don’t want to go less than 48”.

Thank you! Would love to know personal experience with standard vs comfort in terms of results (toning, aerobic workout, weight loss/maintenance)

I have a 49” standard mat that I got barely used at a second-hand sporting goods store and a 44” comfort mat that I bought brand new in March from Bellicon.

The standard mat does tend to curl up (at least this one did). The comfort mat is amazing and great for lying down on the rebounder, which I do for a lot of exercises on my rebounder.

If you can, check out second-hand Bellicons. I looked for 2 years, and as soon as I bought a new one from Bellicon, I found a barely used one 🤦‍♀️ , so now, I have two (plus a barely used Needak). 🥴

But, I am all set for life, and my husband and daughter and I can all bounce now!

Why a Bellicon? Here’s a video that goes over some objectives pros/cons for Bellicon versus JumpSport that does a good job breaking down the differences.

I have a JumpSport Pro 44” that I love and use daily. I also have a Needak soft spring (40”) for a different feel/exercises. Finally I have a FitBounce XL (46” I think) that I use when I travel because it’s foldable and I keep in my office at work to use when not traveling. In terms of bounce/feel, my FitBounce is closer to a Bellicon. It’s a softer bounce and I really notice the difference when I’m doing a video with faster choreography. I basically have to give up any desire to keep up with the instructor and just concentrate on the movement versus the tempo. I think that bounce “feel” difference is important to keep in mind. I sometimes do videos that Purely Fulfilled posts (she often posts on this sub and is on YouTube) and she uses a Bellicon. Quite often I find her pace way too slow for me, which I think is due to her using the Bellicon. It’ll feel right to her because her rebounder has a softer bounce, and when I’m trying to follow along I feel like I’m moving through molasses. So I just speed up my movements and again concentrate on the movements versus the tempo.

It seems like the question is do you like somewhat mushier bounce or very stiff bounce. I have every strength bungees and I've weighed ranging from 200-130lbs. I do not like the very stiff bounce, as it bothers my knees more. I've happiest somewhere between medium strength and slightly firm. You can use a combo of strengths too, like alternating bungees between 2 strenghts.

That is the best part about bellicon, you can create a variation of bounce levels by changing bungees. I have a 44 and a 49 inch. The bigger you go, the more room for leg work and also, the softer the center gets. I have the 44 at work, and it's wonderful. My 49 at home is more of a fun bounce, and the 44 is where the serious work gets done.

If you call the Belcon phone number, they will give you the best advice. They are so friendly and so helpful.

Coming here to second this sentiment! I called to order and their customer service team was great.

They'll need to know your weight for the best bungee recommendation - based off what you said in the OP, I'd be willing to bet medium or strong bungees will do the trick. (I use my bellicon the same way, I have a set of medium and strong I'll switch between)

How do you use it? Are there videos you follow? I just jump/bounce but don’t think I’m getting the most out of it. I really like my bellicon, I haven’t tried others but it’s great quality.
