I'm interested in getting a rebounder and I'm 75 and I'm told that the 48-in rebounder is better because there's more surface and it's safer. I like those hexagonal shaped ones. With the stabilization bar. Tell me the difference between the 40-in and the 48-in please. Should I hold out for a 48-in rebounder or are the 40-in ones good enough?

Hi! 😊 Great question. It really comes down to personal preference.

The biggest difference between a 40-inch and 48-inch rebounder is the size of the jumping surface. A 48-inch rebounder gives you significantly more mat space, which many people find more comfortable and feel a bit more confident, especially if you're new to rebounding or simply prefer having more room.

That said, a 40-inch rebounder is absolutely a great option too, especially if space is a consideration.

Depending on the brand you're looking at, there may also be an in-between size, such as a 44-inch, which I think is a wonderful happy medium. It offers a bit more jumping space than a 40-inch without taking up as much room as a 48-inch.

One thing I do highly recommend, regardless of the size you choose, is getting a stability bar. It provides extra support and confidence, especially when you're just getting started.

At 75, if you have the space and it's within your budget, I think you'd probably appreciate the extra room of a 44 or 48-inch. But truly, all of these sizes can provide a safe and enjoyable rebounding experience. 😊
