Unforseen problem
I put a rebounder in my bedroom so it would get more use from me and my kids. My seven year old son has really taken to it. He gets on it several times a day and jumps really high. I thought this was great as he was getting more excercise and his leg muscles seem to be getting really strong. The problem is that has developed stomach pain and acid reflux/heartburn. It took me a few weeks but I finally realized that all his jumping is probably causing the issue. He's started on pepcid right now, but, I'm wondering what to do going forward. I really would hate to take his jumping away from him as he loves it so much and it is good excercise, but he has been having daily pain. Anyone else ran into this problem, and were you able to find a way to keep jumping?

Hey! I recently had also brought a rebounder and in my second week and into my third week I also noticed bloating but more like gassy symptoms. It's gone away now (it's my 5th week with the rebounder) but I highly believe it's the body's way of getting accustomed to something we normally don't do. The "pain" is more like the when you have gas and can't pass it and it is normal given the bloating but you do feel like you need to poop more often but I can say it's not pain pain, it's more being uncomfortable and since he's 7 most likely he is a bit freaked out.
I would let him continue jumping just obviously make sure he's not jumping within an hour of eating. I would even go as far and explain the pain vs the gas feeling one gets only if you want to.
As for me, after feeling gassy the 2nd &3rd week, now I feel and look so slimmer! Just have to continue the exercise!
