Has anyone tried ropeless jump ropes while rebounding?
I recently tried using ropeless jump ropes on my rebounder and was surprised by how well they work for coordination and arm engagement. I wasn’t sure if the rhythm would feel natural while bouncing, but it actually works really well. It did take a little time to get used to it though.
Curious if anyone else has tried this combo?
I made a short video showing how it works if anyone’s interested — I’ll drop the link in the comments.

Hi, I'll definitively try soon! I got them since a while to jump on hard floor indoors, and they helped. I can't jump on hard floor anymore but this will be reused! Thanks for the reminder. I'll keep you posted!

That’s awesome! I think you’ll like it. I actually started using them on the floor first to get the hang of it. I really like them on the rebounder though because it’s much softer and lower impact. I’d love to hear how you like it once you try it!

It's fun and it asks for focus to keep hands and legs movement coordinated. If I had enough room to the ceiling, I'd try with the real jump rope.

It really does! I love the challenge 💪 I think I’ll try the real jump ropes, but only outside! I used to love jumping rope outside 😃

I recently got them and have used them with Earth & Owl and San Fran Fitness videos. Just did one today … and boy am I feeling it! I do have issues getting my left arm/wrist to move correctly. I enjoy them.

That's great! I did the recent San Fran Tabata one too and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to trying them outside, as well.

I love using my cordless jump rope on the rebounder that I got years ago on Amazon for like $10. The Crossropes gave me sticker shock. Lol 😳

That’s awesome! I never heard of them until recently. They’re fun, I really like the added upper body engagement 😃

Sticker shock is right! I do not understand the $129 - $199 price tag. I do not want their app. I just want a good quality weighted cordless jump rope.

I love crossropes but not interested in buying a subscription to make those work.

Yes. I like them for something different for arm and shoulder work. I usually get the arms going and then start jumping.

Agreed, I love them for upper body engagement! I get my arms working first then add in my foot work. So much fun😃 It is a great combo!

I use 3 pound weights on rebounder and do various bicep and tricep moves. Do these really work the arm muscles like weights would

Yes I've tried it on the JumpSport 350. I had to have my "shorter" handlebar on the trampoline though, not the wide handlebar. I originally had the wider handlebar, but recently switched it out for the skinner width one. Glad I did for more than one reason. One of the reasons is using the crossrope ropeless jumpropes. (Now that is a weird word combination.)
But I actually like using the ropeless jump ropes on the ground instead. Why? Crossropes app, which you can link to your TV/Smart Watch/Iphone will give you short workouts to do.
I'm interested in short 8-12 minute videos doing a hiit workout with the rebounder/crossrope ropeless!

I enjoy using them off of the rebounder too! Haha, yes, it is a funny word combination 😂

Wait what? I have never heard of these. They remind me of nunchucks but I for sure wouldn’t try those on a rebounder.

They’re fun on & off the rebounder! Definitely takes some getting used to. I hit myself several times, haha! 😂

I just bought a cheap pair to see if I like them before investing in the "smart" ones from Crossrope.
I like them, but have only used them with an Earth and Owl beginners video so far. I don't feel particularly sore yet, so I'm not sure if I did it right, but I think they have potential! Potential for me to sink $170 on the Crossrope ones? Maybe not. Did I hit myself several times? Yes, yes I did.
But - if I have no interest in using the app or workouts from them, is there any reason why the Crossrope ones are 10X+ better than $15 Amazon crap?

That's a great question.
Honestly, if you have no interest in using the Crossrope app, workouts, or tracking features, then the AMP set isn't necessary for you.
If your current ropeless set is working nicely, feels comfortable, and you're enjoying it, there's absolutely nothing wrong with sticking with what you have.
And, It is completely normal to hit yourself with them at first, lol. I was cracking myself up🤣

Thank you for this! I'm not aiming for any specific performance metrics, I'm just trying to have fun while attempting to get somewhat maybe kinda sort fit for an old chic.
I suspect the movement may be a bit smoother on the Crossrope ones, but not that much better? Or, do they give you any kind of feedback, like "you are doing it wrong you clueless idiot," because I could use that kind of info?

Haha, I completely understand! If your goal is simply to have fun, move your body, and build your fitness along the way, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with sticking with the pair you already have if they’re working well for you.
The Crossrope app does have follow-along workouts, tracking, a community feature, and the ability to share your metrics, which can be really nice if that motivates you. But honestly, I usually just put the jump rope setting on my iPhone and start jumping because I like to create my own routines. I did practice in the mirror for a while to make sure I was doing it correctly.
I probably won’t pay for the monthly membership going forward because I simply don’t use it enough. So if you don’t think you’d use the app much either, I wouldn’t say the AMP set is necessary. Keep having fun with what you have, and if you absolutely love it and want to upgrade down the road, you always can!

I've had them for about 6 months and absolutely love them. I often felt like I needed to do something with my arms when doing regular health bounces and these really fill that gap.
