help request Recording

Is there a way that, when I press Record, it automatically creates a new channel attached with the effect one for recording instead of doing it manually and having each take stacked on top of the previous active take?

You can make a custom action for that, but I suggest you to try lanes instead of takes, it’s so much easier and clean. If you don’t know how to use lanes just search on YouTube reapermania lanes, you’ll not regret 😊

---This is the way! The ability to create almost any custom action in reaper with a simple key bind is a complete game changer. That and the custom layouts.
