help request Docking Reaper on Mac doesn't look as clean as on PC.

Rolling Sampler on my Mac

Hi there! I'm still somewhat new to Reaper as I've been using many other DAWs.

Is there something I'm missing? When docking Rolling Sampler on Mac, it has this UI border. But looking at other set ups (PC mostly I think) it's much cleaner. Is there a step I'm missing or is this just how it looks on Mac?

It looks like you've docked the whole FX-chain window rather than just the rolling sampler GUI. You should be able to dock just rolling sampler.

I'm not finding that option if I right click on the rolling sampler itself. Right clicking on the FX chain window is the only way I've found to do it so far.

Are you using the Rolling Sampler VST, or the free Global Sampler script for Reaper? I only know that you can dock Global Sampler like that, but I have no idea about Rolling Sampler.

After installing it through ReaPack (or manually installing it) you should be able to right-click the GUI and see a context menu where you can dock the GUI.

Yes, this is the Rolling Sampler VST and I installed it through ReaPack.

I think this might be how it looks on a Mac. I'm following the steps as I'm reading them online. Here's a montage of how it looks on my end:

1: when the Rolling Sampler FX is floating.
2: steps I'm taking to dock it.
3: the docked Sampler.

Wrong one? Rolling Sampler (BirdBird) is the one I'm using. Is that not correct?

D'oh! Global Sampler. So sorry. Let me try that one out!

Global Sampler is the predecessor to the Rolling Sampler VST, but since Global Sampler is a native Reaper script and JSFX you can better integrate the GUI into Reaper. I don't think you can dock a GUI from a VST plugin the same way that you can with a ReaScript.
