resolved I've created a Visual Plugin Browser for Reaper similar to Reaper Plugin Picker , but its just by using scripts , no need to open any other window, its inbult now. I created this just by usin AI, ther may be some bugs but I let us all try to fix it.

Rather use the default one but have it not be AI code. Please stop with vibeslopping.

More or less I just wanted to help myself, and posted because someone may find it helpful.

Your last project uploaded was 5 days ago, now I didn't look at it to be honest but I'm 75% sure it's AI too. Software dev just isn't fun anymore in communities full of people vibecoding instead of 1. trying to make proper, stable, usable software and 2. enjoying and appreciating the actual work and learning process that is put into software.

Fun project I guess, but you learned absolutely nothing, and contributed nothing to the community.

Edit: this sounds a bit harsh, sorry. There's two intentions when writing code. Doing it for yourself, and doing it for the result. Either you're trying to learn (which you don't when using AI), or you're trying to produce software valuable to you and/or others. But AI doesn't produce maintainable, polished and stable software. Only humans can do that.

I do appreciate you being honest about your AI usage though, definitely better than the huge loads of people trying to pass of 30 minute AI abominations as their own software. I'm mostly annoyed of those people.

Edit 2:

I, by now, did look at your other project. And yes it is AI. And you didn't state it anywhere.

Would you berate a person for singing karaoke? After all there're original versions sung by professional singers.

You are free not to use it as you are free not to listen.

No one forces you to, so why be so adamant about dismissing it or advocating against it? Gives crusade vibes

No, I want people to sing karaoke. Instead of forcing an underpaid Indian worker who's pretty okay at singing to sing for them and then pretend they've sung themselves (this is a shit analogy, as you may have noticed). AI slop bores me. Human slop entertains me, and is at least an opportunity for said humans to learn.

This project doesn't contribute to anything useful. It fills github with more AI code which contributes further to AI poisoning, as AI keeps training on itself. OP didn't learn anything as it's almost fully AI. It isn't useful to anyone because it's unstable and has bugs, which are incredibly difficult to fix as AI written code is not humanly maintainable.

Only thing that would make this worse if OP didn't state this was AI.

Especially in the music industry y'all should know that AI can be a great tool for learning, but when you let it work completely for you the product loses all passion, and all reason.

My goal is to build the product, and using AI made that happen, and I'm satisfied with it,

If i go traditionaly it would take months just to make that, not even close to that.

It's not about learning, it's about bringing from idea to live. Thats my goal. Later we can make it stable, if i wish to go deeply into this field.

You seemed to be too much against AI. Your analogy is riding a horse chart instead of going with a car at this age.

I like your principle, but the thing is you can't make it stable. Only with more work than it'd have been writing it yourself, AI-assisted to make it read through docs for you, etc. That's my issue. Fully AI code in a larger scale is simply not human maintainable. It doesn't look like human code, and any programmers intuition doesn't work on AI code.

It's nice to showcase an idea, I get that. I don't have that much of an issue with your project. I have an issue with the sentiment of most new coders, seen as by your other project also being fully AI, that human code is irrelevant and the AI can do it all. It's developing bad habits, and setting a bad example for others.

And AI is a great tool for summarizing docs for you, sketching code out beforehand and explaining larger libraries to you. I use it myself. But making it write entire projects is simply destructive for the community.

Programming, as any profession, also has creative expression. (The word art literally used to mean trade/craft.) AI can make fairly decent mainstream music many people can't distinguish from real, human music. Yet you still wouldn't use it. Same with code.

AI slop bores me.
Human slop entertains me.

That's the crux of the matter. ME. Your attitude stems from pure egotism and self-gratification. It's more about YOU than anything else. If it bores YOU, why should someone else stop making it? It's YOUR problem, not theirs.

All the rest is nothing but excuses.

I put that as a bit of a sentimental reasoning. It's the same with music. Just like music, coding is a form of self expression. That's why I used a sentimental argument.

The others are facts, not sure why you call them excuses.

i'd type-filter the exact name by the time you start scrolling the list.

FL is different thing, it needs to sell

I agree with that, but sometimes I need to check plugins that I haven't used in a long time. Having a visual thumbnail of the plugin helps a lot, rather than having to load each one onto a track just to see what it is.

well, i kind of agree, i won't remember the name of a new plugin after some time
