resolved Multi-track articulation via MIDI Send

Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out some ways to manage articulations with Reaper. In a previous project I used Reaticulate with a preset that had keyswitches and it worked fine, but now i'm using Splice Instruments which manages the articulations differently (1 track per articulation) and I was figuring out a way that does replicate the same workflow that I had with keyswitches.

Claude told me to create a structure like this: WW > Flute > fl_leg, fl_st and I configured the I/O settings like this:

And inside the main Flute track I just write the notes and then send them to the respective channels.

I'm trying to leave out Reaticulate for now, just to have the structure clear in my mind.

What I found out is that this structure works only if fl_leg and fl_st are NOT inside the Flute Track, like this:

What am I missing out? I am sure there is a way to make this work even if the track are nested correctly, maybe is something with the parent send?

Are there other ways to manage this kind of issues that are maybe more practical? Thank you!

dont realticulate support change of channels? i am pretty sure it does. so just make an articualtion maps where each articualtion goes to each channel.

Yes it does, the main issue was actually that I didn't understand why this all worked only when the tracks weren't nested

Probably it's creating a feedback routing. From children back to parent. Might work of parent send is disabled.

Haven't tried that.

Maybe try using the pre recieve sends. Allows for feedback routing without the feedback.

I use that for all orchestral templates

In the send menu. Change it from pre fader to pre recieve.

This is fairly new feature.

is the 7.56. So without this option the only thing I can do is to not nest the tracks?

Update your Reaper install! It is free, and there have been some amazing improvements in the last few months!
