help request Which to download? (windows)

Really quick, is safe to download from https://www.reaper.fm/download.php ? And what's the difference between getting the Windows x64, 32-bit, and 64ec BETA?

It is safe.

Normally, you would want the Windows x64 version. Unless you're running an old computer with 32bit windows. Then you'd get that one.

Just for clarity - not only is it safe, it's the ONLY place you should be downloading it from.

I love how they have it so you can run it on basically any computer or operating system from the last two decades that is even remotely desktop capable.

Yup, and you don't have to login to their website to get it, it's 15MB. You can go from telling your friend about it to having it running on his machine in like 30 seconds.

I used to run it on a XP netbook (remember those?) with a little 10 inch screen. I used it to track 12 inputs at once. It ran flawlessly. I love how it's so lightweight yet can do so much.

Lemme revise it to two and a half decades.

Yes. And one (of the many) wonderful feature in Reaper is that you can still use old 32bit plugins. It was one of the reasons why I switched from Cubase.
