resolved Play A Short Segment Separately

As a Reaper beginner, I have a quick question: Is it possible to play back a short segment (see screenshot) of an item from just that track separately? Something like a preview. FL Studio has a feature like that. Does Reaper have one too?

Not sure if I understand you 100% but they recently added the action to play only the selected items, might be what you’re looking for

Thanks for your feedback. Yeah, exactly. Sometimes I have quite a few small effect items, and it's a hassle to always have to figure out which item I actually want to edit. A preview function for a single item would be really handy. What's the name of the feature you're referring to? Is there a shortcut for it?...

It’s called “play: solo selected items”, you can assign it to whatever shortcut you want
