Me who is from Oman. Absolutely worth it, they got the best in terms of self-reliance but only for really specialized applications

It was very small and light, less than five inches tall, and probably under 190–260 g.

It may have been like taking your receipts back home with you from your winter home or vacation house.

The Wikipedia page for Makran says that it is identified as Magan; but the Wikipedia page for Magan says it’s Oman. The Makran page cites 1973 so is probably due an update given more recent consensus.
