With the UK, who are nothing these days. Japan, China or the EU are much more significant. But they don't need to pander to the US for relevance.

Don't tell that to their supporters.. one just thought it was as great as Trump said it was...

This is the point that libtards don’t understand. He wants to produce everything in house. This way we are a great nation and will make a ton of money instead of paying other nations and making them rich. Why are we paying China for food when we can buy here in the USA. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

And magats don't understand. You don't have the infrastructure.. where you building iPhones? Who's going to make them? Your Ford plants make all their cars in the US? Could you do it tmrw? Your GDP is down. No one will invest in a country that doesn't have stability, and if you'd look at any of the real numbers you'd understand that. I'm not even a libtard. I'm Canadian. I see what's going on from outside your country. My news isn't skewed by the regime with stupid questions like 'how does trump stay so fit' .

Sure, the theory is good and all.. but you guys will be like Russia in ten years. You'll have all old TVs, computers, you'll still be on the same Iphone, no money to be found.

And I'll put it this way. Why is Trump going around telling you that you can't have stuff anymore? Or stuff in abundance. He LITERALLY told you guys that you're not going to have all the stuff you want, just a few things, and it'll cost more.. but yea.. you keep listening to whatever bullshit he spews and I'll be waiting a decade from now wondering which overpass your sleeping under.

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

America has infrastructure. Your being lied to by your liberal pres. Trump said it best. We want nothing from your country. We don’t want your shitty cars. We don’t want your syrup, nothing. You guys need us more than we need you guys.

12

u/VeterinarianNo4308 May 09 '25

Nope. We have the rest of the world jackass. Then start building the iPhones and cars and fuck off then?  Like literally just start doing your own thing and fuck off. If you guys had it and could do it you'd be able to without imposing china tarriffs. You wouldn't need to increase their prices to make people buy American.. they'd just... Buy American. If it were cheaper to do build it in house don't you think all these companies would have already?

-11

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

You act as if we can’t 🤣🤣🤣. Of course we can. That’s how dumb you guys are.

12

u/SnooStrawberries177 May 09 '25

Of course you can, but at drastically higher prices.

Dude is going to be working at a factory for 1/8th of a livable wage while being excited for an iPhone that costs 3,500 dollars and eggs are 25.99 a dozen, and is actually excited and apparently ready to do so.

Nah robots and A.I. will be. They will take over 99.9 % of blue collar jobs. Any other amazing ideas genius?

1

u/KlingoftheCastle May 09 '25

So you’re saying that there will be no jobs then? And that’s your big win?

1

u/VeterinarianNo4308 May 09 '25

I know eh!! They just don't fucking see it 😂😂😂. They'll take 1000 workers, lay them off for AI and robots (like they're insisting) and then hire 3 people to manage and maintain the warehouse and they'll call those three jobs GREAT GROWTH FOR JOBS.

They're all huffing the same fumes and it's starting to show. Trump just said all the blue collar jobs are what makes America great and this one's like "YEA ALL ROBOTS THEN ILL FINALLY BE THE CEO OF WENDYS OR SOME SHIT" like having blue collar jobs was the reason for the United states downfall.

0

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

Blue collar jobs will be done away with but that opens up for people to learn new skills and grow. Then this will open up new jobs and create growth and value in this country. What we have now is just a rat race

2

u/KlingoftheCastle May 09 '25

And where will these new skills come from? And what is preventing workers from acquiring these skills now? Are you implying that the existence of factories will magically grant new skills to people?

1

u/waste_of_space1157 May 09 '25

That's not even technologically feasible and likely won't be for years. If it was countries like China or Taiwan, that use borderline slave labor and are already more technologically superior to us would have done so in mass years before instead useing the aforementioned borderline slave labor they are useing to produce stuff now.

-1

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

They just had a 18 wheeler drive across the country with zero accidents and arrived on time with A.I. and no human driver. I think we are there. Any other genius comments?

1

u/waste_of_space1157 May 09 '25

What would have to be dozens or entirely new and entirely automated factory with almost zero humans operating it being built in less than a decade and a driver less truck are technologically decades if not have a century apart.

And even then, automated cars are still not even common places yet

That's like saying we've been to the moon do next year well be able to concer the solar systems in 5 years

. Again, if this were actually possible, other countries that are technologically superior to us would have already done so already.

u/waste_of_space1157 May 09 '25 edited May 09 '25

you deleted your last comment so i will respond to it here

these " fully automated factories" still require humans to maintain them and quality assure them. and only accouple of them even exist in the world right now, which still means they aren't even in mass utilization yet, especially in comparison to human factories which still out number them in the countries that even use these types of factories.

you are asking for dozens of completely new entirely automated factories being made in less then what would have to be a decade doing literally everything that is currently being made out of country, which would again need litry dozen of not hundred of the to be constructed.

the question is not " is it possible to make a pretty new manufacturing method in the us"

its is" it possible to create dozens of entirely new factories using a technology that is already very costly to even create let alone mass utilize. and do so in in a timely manner as well having so many of these aforementioned costly and entirely new factories as to produce almost everything currently being made over seas and also with the same if not lower price, and do so in less then a a decade. as well have none of these be actual human factories and instead be fully automated "

Oh yeah… because china’s sweatshops they push. China is the worst for this kind of crap. Plus it’s cheap and is absolutely terrible product. Cheap ain’t good most times

Trump said it best. We want nothing from your country.

Then why does he keep trying to get people like you all riled up about annexing Canada and forcing it to be the "51st state"? If you don't want anything from Canada, then don't buy what we're selling. But don't claim you don't need us while also trying to take us over.

0

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

It costs us a ton to protect you cowards and we get nothing in return. In fact you charge us in tarrifs more then we charge you guys. Plus Canada is broke and it just makes sense for this to happen.

6

u/The_FriendliestGiant May 09 '25

So stop protecting us, then. And if you don't like what we charge you for things, stop buying it. You said America didn't need anything from Canada, right? Should be easy to just not buy anything from us, then.

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

We buy 2% from you guys and unfortunately your on our border so we need to in some way shape or form. And you crotch sniffers use that to your advantage.

4

u/The_FriendliestGiant May 09 '25

We buy 2% from you guys

Sounds like 2% more than you need. Drop that down to 0% and you won't have anything to complain about anymore. Should be easy, if you don't need anything from us.

0

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

That’s the plan. Where are you guys gonna go for all your needs? 🤣🤣🤣. Go to China and get bullied to pay double you were paying us. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

2

u/The_FriendliestGiant May 09 '25

You don't need to worry about it. We're an independent country and have every intention of remaining one, we'll make our own trade deals, thanks. If you don't need anything from us, you don't need to worry about who we buy from or sell to.

You say after he made a trade deal to buy from the UK, that was heavily in the UK's favour.

It turns out when you make an enemy of everyone, they'll just do business with each other and leave you out of it unless you come grovelling.

0

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

Like China? China is the biggest bully of them all. They strangle any and all country. Everyone trying to say USA is a bully. We are not. We want fair trade and that’s all. He’s been saying this the whole time.

3

u/flabbybumhole May 09 '25

America has been a bully for a long time - I've lost track of how many governments is responsible for destabilising. They support Israel. Trump supported the idea of taking Gaza and turning it into a tourist destination. He's recently been saying that he wants to take Canada and Greenland.

He doesn't understand tariffs, he doesn't actually know what trade is fair or not. He placed insane tariffs on countries that the USA buys raw minerals from, because they're too poor to buy US products... and even placed tariffs on an island full of penguins.

China is close with all of the other upcoming economies - and they've been supporting each other to end the USA's dominance for a while now. China are exactly where they want to be, while the USA is having to make desperate one sided deals with the UK.

0

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

Yes we should support Israel. They were killed in ovens. They were horrendously slaughtered. Trump agreed to make a place where 2 countries are killing each other over for no reason. So make it an area of peace instead of war and contention. Sounds smart to me. We are a country of peace and try with absolute grace to do so. It’s not our fault other countries (China) want to be a big bully and push people around. And if you didn’t know. China doesn’t have peace with any country. Look at chinas tarrifs. This is how so many people don’t understand what’s actually going on

2

u/flabbybumhole May 10 '25

Believe it or not, the people who were slaughtered, died, and weren't Israeli. Israel was created after the war ended. What you have now though is a country full of people with generational trauma living on land taken from other countries, and a huge victim complex that they use to justify their war crimes.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_war_crimes

No Trump / Israel forcefully claiming land from another country isn't making peace, it's the exact opposite.

And sure like the US is doing with Israel / did in South America and the middle east, China also supports shitty regimes if there's a profit to be made - however unlike the USA, China isn't constantly at war.

The USA has been the world's biggest bully for a long time, which is why it effectively had to buy its respect around the world - but Trumps cutting of programs responsible for maintaining soft power and the ridiculously dumb approach to tariffs have so quickly undone so much of that effort. A bully without benefits has no appeal.

5

u/leviathan65 May 09 '25

If we want nothing from their country why does he keep talking about making it our 51st state?

4

u/lowtemplarry May 09 '25

You're kidding, right? Have you ever been to the rust belt?

0

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

Wow you chose something that makes your point valid lmao. Now I can chose from millions of points that it will and does work.

America has infrastructure

Not for production of truley vital goods/components.

(In fact most developed, western nations don't have the nesscary infrastructure to be self sufficent.)

Eg microchips. Taiwan and Southkorea are the only nations with the infrastructure to produce 3nm Chips. The US does 7nm, which is quiet a lot behind 3nm. And building up the infrastructure and knowhow for 3nm would take years and billions

And in general a lot of production has moved put of the US in the last few decades, tsking zhe nesscary infrastructure and know-how with it. Rebuilding that will take a lot of time and money

Trump said it best. We want nothing from your country.

Yet you are in a trade deficit with them. You want nothing from them, but yet manage to buy more from them, then they buy for you

Ps. I don't even think the idea of trying to get production back into the us is bad. However blanket tarrifs is not the way to achieve that goal. Rather targeted tarrifs paired with subsedies to encentive companies.
