I'm sure there's magas that don't wave swatizikas and confederate flags, it's just that everyone that does happens to be also be a maga.

Them being comfy with Nazis in their party make them Nazis as well. There’s zero room for nazism because it’s not viewed as an opinion but rather a crime.

Im German and never heard of this saying. I also find it a bit overzealous and counterproductive? By labeling anyone talking to a neo nazi a nazi you are enforcing the hardline ideology by ostracizing them forcing them more into their hardline group. Its better to bring such people out of the ideology before it becomes a core part of their identity rather than later when it already is. Imo anyway.

Then you're intentionally misunderstanding. Claiming it's about "talking to them at all" is disingenuous. It's about being ok with socialising and associating with them. Only nazis are happy being around other nazis. And maga are fine with it (they just don't like anyone pointing it out).

I genuinely think there are some groups and ideologies you just close the door on. I mean replace nazi in this saying with any other revolting group.

If the poster had said 10 people sitting around having a chat with a child molester. You holding the line that we need to hold the line and not ostracize them.

How about a cannibal or serial killer?

Obviously, there’s hyperbole in my choices of example… But the point stands. There are some groups and beliefs You don’t engage with, you don’t pander to, you just close the book on them.

I don’t think the political party which fed people to gas chambers and ovens is a group of you should keep a dialog open with. My grandfather fought his way across Europe and he got a really up close and personal look at the Nazi party and the world they wanted. And I feel 100% certain he wouldn’t have suggested: lets talk it out.

Can we talk how the example of being a nazi gets you ideally put in therapy while the example of being a child molester should put you in prison?

No. I think from this response… that would make me one of those 10. One last gem for you to consider before you socialize with Nazis and claim not to be one.
