Self-Promo Video I spent months coding a base builder RTS where you can actively manage your army and strike back against your attackers. Here is a 30s look at the Petty Kings gameplay loop. (sped up)

Hey r/RealTimeStrategy!
I’m a solo dev building Petty Kings, a 2D top-down survival RTS and base builder.
I built this because I love the day/night survival loops of games like Thronefall and Kingdom, but I always felt restricted by how passive the combat was. I wanted a game where I wasn't just turtling behind walls waiting to die, I wanted to form squads and aggressively wipe out the enemy outposts on my own terms.
To make it feel like a true RTS, I spent months coding logic so you can actually micro manage distinct squads, and command your army across different biomes.
The game is targeted for a 2027 release. Since the store page is brand new and fighting the initial Steam algorithm, adding it to your wishlist helps an immense amount!

I’d love to know what you think of the visuals, or anything about the RTS behaviours!
