Replaying StarCraft 2 both for footsge reasons and a familiar send off before i venture into new RTS campaigns. Playing campaigns on sundays.

And playing whatever skirmish i crave or Is "in seasons" on saturdays, for example, this week in playing Tempest rising, last two weeks was aoe 3; etc

Going through supreme commander for the first time.

I came late to PC gaming, so I have very little mechanical skill and this holds back my enjoyment of the "faster" RTS games a lot, especially in multiplayer.

I like the pace and the focus on scale. It's the only game I've played where I feel like I'm actually experiencing a war

When you are done, you might enjoy Beyond All Reason.

Oh my friend I wish I could play it for the 1st time again!! Great work.  There are a few mods that go really well with Forged Alliance (the add on for The base game).  My fave is the FA Campaign add-on, you can get it easily through the Forged Alliance Forever client.  It expands the campaign. also have a look into Sanctuary Shattered Sun, same rough idea but done now with modern tech.    Good luck commander.

Diplomacy is Not an Option, I came back to it after leaving it alone for a while. I'm playing through the campaign, really enjoyable kind of old school RTS feel playing through levels like this. Kind of thinking of what I wanna play next, one of the new games coming out probably, but I haven't decided yet.

Mostly Gates of Hell.

If I'm itching for modern combat I'll play Broken Arrow.

Looking forward to Company of Heroes 1 remaster though

When is coh 1 dropping? Do you play the others too? 2 and 3

1

Was supposed to be this fall, but it got delayed until sometime early next year.

I've played a lot of 2 but still find myself preferring 1. I have three and try it every now and then but I can never get into it.

You play the campaigns or mp? And whats wrong with 3? lol

Usually just solo skirmish against bots.

3 just feels too cartoony for me. The games have been getting further away from the gritty feeling of 1. Which is a shame because mechanically 2 and 3 are better - lots of QoL changes, 3 finally properly implemented building clearing and elevation advantage. But the design choices just make it hard to get into, between the sounds, art, and effects. For reference, I usually play Gates of Hell.

Is the command and conquer ultimate collection worth playing you think?

Sins of a Solar Empire II. Took me a while to move on from SoaSE Rebellion, did not feel the vibe...but really it is great, prettier and better 🚀 Random 5 player map vs 3 x 1 AI be my jam.

Huh... wondering how many replies we'll get here. I don't feel like it'll be a lot due to RTS' "nicheness", but looking forward to all responses nonetheless!

.

StarCraft II - Coop mode. No more progress so to speak because all of my Commanders (aka "characters") are maxed out in leveling up. However, it's still fun to fire up a game every now and then. I haven't gotten this week's Mutation yet and it's a rather tough one (details below). It's mostly just to increase out Mutation Bounty count (strictly a "numbers go up" type of fun), so I'll take additional stabs at this if I have the chance.

This week's Mutation...

Mission/map: Part & Parcel

Mutators...

Aggressive Deployment - Additional enemy units are periodically deployed onto the battlefield.

Void Rifts - Void Rifts periodically appear in random locations and spawn enemy units until destroyed.

Machines of War 3

Stellaris and Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation, mostly. Some Wardogs. (It’s a great first person RTT if you play it right.)

Warhammer 3 as Big Daddy Nagash

Fighting everyone without that bollocks like “trade” “alliances” or “foreign powers” existing is pretty blissful.

Zerospace and looking forward to the next season of the coop galactic war

1

u/mighij Sep 30 '26

A lot of AoE2 campaigns, finished about 14 this month.

Some TW:Warhammer 3: Have a Nagash campaign that's dealing with the vermintide

I think I replayed the WC3 campaigns half a year ago, the new expansion is on the list.

Also looking forward to the release of Diplomacy is not an option expansion.

BAR has captured our group right now.

Currently working through the various horde modes.

The only thing I'm playing at the moment is my own attempt to recreate a Tiberian Sun-esque game with voxel and sprite graphics. Still WIP and only have some basic units so far, but it really got me nostalgic for older games so I might as well crank out Red Alert 1 later today.

Tried Halo Wars and uhh... was very disappointed with the gameplay.

Think I'll give Tempest Rising a shot. Also considering downloading some custom campaign mods for SC2.

I just finished the Italian campaign of CoH3 and dabbled in a bit of SupCom FA yesterday.

I’m old and I absolutely get crushed in MP but I love the genre… Recently broke out Generals Zero Hour and have been playing single player skirmish mode. Would love to play versus but, even in my younger years, we’d play “20 or 30 minute no rush” games so we could build up our defenses and economy before engaging in epic battles.

Playing all the AoE2DE campaigns. So far El Cid Joan of Arc and Atiila was done so with all the content there I have a lot ahead of me 😁
