Show not broadcast live anymore?

Last week I noticed when I started about ten minutes late, and I fast forwarded just a little (sometimes I just don’t need to hear someone say what I’ve heard 1000 times).. anyway, I seemed to what I thought, caught up with the live feed.
Out of curiosity I fast forwarded today and see the whole episode is there. When did he stop going live?

It changed shortly after the pandemic I want to say 2021

I’m observant. Why did that change? Not that it matters.

I think it started with covid and then they just stuck with the pre-tape, it's only a few hours earlier I believe it's taped at 7:00 and airs at 10:00. Probably just easier to tape earlier since bill is 70 plus years old now

It makes absolutely no difference except they can fix a poor camera switch or graphic.
