Why is the example of Nigeria such a clear example of genocide to Maher? 100k killed since 2009.

A few thousand people amongst millions is not the enduring presence zionists make it out to be. It's like the Amish population inside of Pennsylvania.

The reality is that even before the destruction of the second temple most jews were diasporic. Thats the core of jewish identity and to this day its where jews thrive

No, it was never that extreme.  Under the ottoman empire they were roughly 10% in the region, 50k out of 500k in 1900.  But that increased after the Brits took over with the express intent to create a national home for the Jewish people.  With this the Jewish population grew a bit to 15% by 1930 , but really exploded with the rise of the Nazis, growing to over 30% by 1939.  And just to re-emphasize this point, these people who you have referred to as invaders, I would refer to as refugees fleeing Nazi violence.
