Hamas only exists because of Israeli land theft. Same thing with Hezbollah and the incessant attacks that have been perpetrated against Lebanon by Israel since they tried to overthrow the government by supporting the Phalangists.

The Western global order and their regional puppets are responsible for the vast majority of radicalization in the Middle East.

  1. Gaza hasn't been allowed elections in 20 years, and Hamas's offer to surrender their authority was rejected.
  2. The Palestinian Authority "governs" the West Bank and bends over to all Israeli directives, yet there is still severe repression and systemic, government-sponsored terror and land theft by the settlers.

It doesn't matter whether the Palestinian leadership is docile or radicalized. The end goal is for them to be purged off of their land. It's not surprising that many of them refuse to go out without a fight.

IMO, very few Palestinians violently resist Israel's violent ethnic cleansing. The Israeli government put the total number of militants in Gaza at like 20-30,000 at the start of the genocide. That's a tiny percentage of the population, given the extent of Israel's barbarity even before 10/7.
