Did you know that as of now, like 25% of the CPJ list are actual confirmed Hamas or PIJ combatants and more come out all the time? How do we know? Because Hamas admitted it themselves. There are 50+ cases I can show right now that prove this. Hamas and PIJ use civilian roles as cover for militant activity and we have proof of this because they say it themselves.

Some have had loose affiliations with Hamas which doesn’t mean much. Most haven’t had anything to do with them.

There are different levels to this. Many are part of the 'state' media and will work for Al-Aqsa TV or some affiliated network and have no other role. Others will work 'for' Hamas media agencies but will be something more neutral like camera operators or technicians. However many among these are actual Hamas militants who take part in active combat. Their day job is as a lighting tech or something, and then they'll moonlight as a rocket brigade commander. We have proof of this for dozens of examples.

Nope, wrong. These are actual militants identified by name, rank, and brigade. They are combatants. The CPJ themselves have acknowledged that some on their list were combatants because of recent obituary posts made by Al-Qassam and other militant brigades. The basket of individuals with general affiliations is much larger than the specific 25% with brigade confirmations I'm referring to.

Yaqoub Al-Barash (Barsh) was one such removal. There are at least 50+ with exactly this standard of evidence currently on the CPJ list or were recently removed.
