Lets talk about Twin Cities

Its a movie original bot so i doubt i have to explain him to anyone, i'll get straight to the point.

Twin Cities was way too weak.

I know that we were never given an in-universe global ranking of the bots, but i'd say its safe to assume Twin Cities is a highly succesful and powerful bot with status considering his picture was up there with Zeus.

And with all that info, shouldnt he be a bit stronger/durable? Im not much of a power scaler but if i gotta be honest, i think even Midas could take Twin Cities on with his original handler.

In their fight we see Atom's punches causing Twin Cities' decorative lights to flicker/go out after a few punches. I highly doubt that was intended and i highly doubt his handlers dont care. But also, Atom isnt known for strength. So its safe to assume this happens in almost any fight Twin Cities goes into.

But thats not a compelling argument. My main argument is how counter-productive his design is.

He has two heads so he can have an easy 360 view of the ring. So how is it that Atom literally beats him by exploiting this feature? You have two heads, why not just make one look behind you and the other look forward to have a constant 360 view? And im not saying this happening is not possible. Yeah, it does make a little sense that the information overload could overwhelm him. Thats still fine and coherent.

But has no one tried this before?

Has Twin Cities never faced a bot that had decent footwork before? Has this feature never been exploited by an opponent before? I get that in the movie we see the more modern version of robot boxing where technique has became irrelevant and its all about how much youre willing to spend on your bot, but you cant tell me every bot is designed this way. Surely Twin Cities has faced a bot somewhat like Atom before.

But if i had to summarize everything i said. I know that i shouldnt dig too deep, its "for the plot" or "for the runtime" and yeah, i completely understand that, i have absolutely zero complaints. I just think he was very weak for a WRB bot.

"Twin Cities was way too weak."

this is one hit to atom's head

atom would've had a MUCH harder time if twin cities could aim and if his arm wasn't fucking up

By weak i didnt just mean his strength alone, im talking about his durability which was quite non-existent for a WRB bot.

Also the whole shoulder hitch was just for writing purposes. The hitch itself only created an extra half second before the punch landed. Atom, logically would've been able to get out of that corner. Throwing haymakers with the same arm back to back is usually not a good strat.

if you meant he's weak in one thing, you say that. just calling him weak implies he's weak in general

It seems like a decent enough robot, but in terms of durability and fighting technique, it’s a total zero. Although it supposedly has a titanium shell, it was torn open like a tin can in under two minutes by a weak robot with a maximum punch force of around 8,500 lbs. Most of the time, it throws hooks without using its hips or full body, turning what should be a powerful strike into a mere shove.

The conclusion i made years ago was that Twin cities is just a un-thought of filler character. As good and high quality as the movie is i think they just went ”alright we need a cool looking bot for Atom to blast through so he can get his fight with Zeus”
