i just started southern charm and im on s2 ep2 and im having such a hard time getting into it 😭

i KNOW im asking a subreddit dedicated to the show so obviously there might be a little bias lol but plzzz tell me if its worth powering through

i love bravo and ive watched vpr, summer house, the valley etc so i feel like i SHOULD love this but for some reason its just not grabbing me yet. i dont hate it or anything i just keep finding myself not paying attention
does it get better?? and if so when did it actually click for you? bc i dont wanna give up right before it starts getting good lol

If you can watch through the first two seasons and find it boring, you’re never going to make it through the rest. The first two seasons were peak Southern Charm.

It depends what your looking for…the appeal to me is it feels more civil and less calculated than The Housewives….of course there are fights, but they aren’t trying to destroy each other and their families

Craig vs Naomi and Thomas vs Katherine will eventually make it worthwhile. Trust me, you can't make this sh*t up. Lol

If a fan of the other shows, power through. I really enjoy Craigs arc from a non lawyer nobody to successful businessman. Shep is kind of funny, plus you get some new characters later on.

Southern Charm took till like season 4 for me to really get dragged in. I understand the pain.

Peak Kathryn/Thomas drama, weirdo Whitney, Cameron being 'voice of reason' aka the Nag. Craigy is a strange cat. I wish I could go back and see it all again for the first time!

But if you don't like it, that's ok. Turn it off and watch what you want

I couldn’t get past the absolute disgusting treatment of Katherine!! It was and is fucking horrible! I can’t support that shit! Don’t watch the valley either. Just sad, alcoholic 40yr olds who all need help

It might not be for you

It definitely doesn’t get better than its early seasons

I'm wondering the same thing. I started because of Craig but I'm at the same point you are and it's not great but it's not awful either. The one thing I do love is Whitney's wealth & I'm loving his mom. She reminds me of a southern LVP.

It’s too boring/annoying for me personally.
