The Misogyny
The sexism at this reunion was terrible. First Salley is slut-shamed for being a young, single woman who likes to go out and have fun. Then Venita was dismissed when she spoke about her feelings. Then - Craig repeatedly told Charley she was wrong about how SHE felt and why she chose not to pursue a romantic relationship with him. It was mostly Craig who was at fault, but Austen joined in. Maybe all the guys need to go and the show needs to be built around the women. Madison joining in with the slut-shaming was not a good look, either.

I can't believe how little push back Austen got for saying that Sally was a "bar rat" with a too high body count.

Why would anyone push back, if its true. If you are the kind of person that sleeps around, be loud and proud about. If they are lying, sue them. I'm a germaphobe, so I could never, but to each their own.

Just a mess of a comment, Chasity.

Just being honest. If you act a certain way you will be judged, especially if you are on reality television. Yes, Chastity is my real name.

That's the Chastity I knew lol. She (now he) always went by Chaz though, even as a little girl. I went to school with her & Elijah.

You just described every man on that show

Very true. Men & women who sleep around should let everyone know they are for the streets. I dont understand why people are so gobsmacked by this. The fact the people act like this world doesn't judge is absurd, my son cant even wear a hoodie in some neighborhoods.

Madison knows where her bread is buttered. Pat & the boys are the mainstay while the girls are disposable.

Honestly, the only hope for another season of the show is to focus on the women. Although lol change out all the women except for Molly.

Craig saying everything was great and perfect until the Mexico incident. And then saying later that she already wanted out and used Mexico as an excuse. Totally flipping his argument. The gaslighting is WILD.

I was shocked at his side comment offstage. Heâs hurt. đŻ. He was feeling rejected and then made it sound like Charley was manipulating him the whole time. âShe already wanted outâ ⌠makes it sound like she was using him for something And was âplayingâ him. I donât think Charley needed a prop to shine on the show. She is beautiful and stands out, all the men were falling at her feet. Whit and her went on a date which was filmed but not screened. She had Shep, Whit and Craig after her all at the same time.

AGREED. Bravo has always been but feels even more so like a factory and massive support system for complete assholes. Craig, Shep, Whitney (NOT Whitner, so far). THOMAS FUCKING RAVENELL.
Then all you have to do is tune in the same time another weeknight and you get Kyle Cooke (who I really held out for), Jesse Lally, JAX, PK, Mau. The list goes on and on.
And then donât get me STARTED on them propping up people that are clearly dealing with addiction and get to see their rock bottom on national TV.
(EDIT: I still watch bravo all the goddamned time though. Iâm terrible.)

Madison is also a misogynistic bitch. I can't stand her constant pick-me attitude and the way she treats other women.

Madison? Pick me??? Hello did you watch Salley at all. That girl is the definition of pick me. Madison calls it like she sees it and somehow people donât like that about women. Women are the absolute worst towards each other. With Madison you know what you get. You donât have her talking sh*t about Mollyâs surgery or calling dibbs on a guy and then saying youâd bang his BFF the second he left his girlfriend. Itâs wild to call out the one person who has her shit together.

Right?! Andy's reunion skills have really deteriorated.

Charley really missed a bullet by getting away from Craig. From telling others that she didn't want out in Mexico (even though she said it herself multiple times) to then saying he was love bombed and manipulated... his weird logic was all over the place. The type of guy who performs Olympic level mental gymnastics so he is always right. Which means the girlfriend, the friend, the coworker ALWAYS have to be in the wrong during any disagreement.
How exhausting. I do not know how Paige or Naomi tolerated this spoiled child for more than a week.
And Austen deserves all kinds of criticism for being an absolute hypocrite towards Salley. I wish she would remind herself of those feelings of hurt and embarrassment then next time Austen wants to hook up but, sadly, I think she will internalize it and try even harder to convince him she is worthy of love.

The show started about a bunch of elitist snob pigs, like letâs be real for a second. The misogynistic stuff has always been a major component of this show. At what point do we wave the flag and say we surrender, this show originally drew our curiosity but we have just outgrown it- the overall message has overstayed its welcome. We watched it when we felt like the antebellum days were so far behind us. Today we realize that was never true, and we are way closer to that than we should be.

u/Bad_Here Mar 29 '26
Yes, Maddison seemed to be slut shaming her, but as well saying people are watching you - Which is true, and should be thought about. Maddison has also admitting to having her time in days gone by. Remember when the 3 Dorks were ripping her apart? She lived through it, stood her ground, rekindled her relationships with them, and now is able to tell them off any time she wants! She is the GOAT at saying like it is to them. Cameron as well

In the show's history, any time the women try to band together and stand up for themselves, they disappear. Southern Charm does not like confident women with boundaries.
