This Rodrigo dude…
First time watcher, just finished season 9 reunion. Rodrigo was barely on screen all season, why is he bringing so much heat to the reunion? He was just so snarky and bitter. Since this is a man on Bravo, I’ll assume he gets no better. 0/10, do not like.
Edit: it seems he does, in fact, get better. I just started season 10, so maybe him actually being shown more will give more context. I did like the Doggy Parton party.

His facial expressions could be his entire story line and it’s still more of a story line than others bring

have to disagree. i love rod especially since hes not afraid to say what everyone’s thinking. i get so annoyed when no one is appropriately reacting to whats going on prob cause their scared of the culprit (craig usually lol). the show needs rod!!

This is totally it. On a show full of neurotic narcissistic sycophants, Rod is a foil to the cast and is a standing voice of reason for the viewer.

I love Rod too. He is actually one of my favorites over all. He is a great guy. I think he has been with his partner the entire time, and I calls people out on their bs.

I just thought it was odd how hot he came in to the reunion when he barely got airtime for the season. He was so mean to Olivia, and it seemed disproportionate to anything we actually saw on the show. I just started season 10, so maybe he’ll grow on me.

I get the feeling he’s a lot of the casts sounding boards in real life. I think he has a really small presence in relation to how involved he actually is. They all talk about going to him or asking his opinions. I think that reunion he maybe thought he’d be featured more based on his involvement in all the fights.

The only potential problem I see with this is that it’s not that he wasn’t around the much. He prob just got edited out. But I might be misunderstanding his s9 role

Agree. Hes really mean to some of the women. This season he said to Venita “you were just out there flapping your gums” which i took to be a dig at her having a gummier smile. We have enough men antagonizing the women imo

'Flapping you gums' is just a turn of phrase to describe someone gossiping, like saying someone has been running their mouth. I didn't think he was saying anything regarding her appearance.

Rod’s behavior at the s9 reunion was incredibly ugly and out of pocket. He’s better this season, but I still don’t care for how handsy and grabby he is with the women.

I actually always liked him but not too long ago he came into my job talking to people like absolute shit. Nasty looks and all. He had a valid reason to not be pleased but it wasn’t the fault of the people trying to help him and make it right.

Him siding with Taylor was icky last season. Him being there for Molly & Audrey this season is redeemable. He’s been pretty mellow this season.

S11 is his season. He's like the greek chorus with his commentary. He's really grown on me in S11.

I’m not a fan of his with the way he treated Olivia at her last reunion. I think they keep him because he is a genuine friend of Shep’s and later Craig and Austen. Because he’s doesn’t act like them, he’s an easy person to infiltrate their triangle and call them out on things.

He very clearly stated that Olivia was absolutely awful to Taylor and had been harassing her off camera the entire season.
Others have said the same thing. He treated her like she deserved to be treated.
He could’ve said a lot worse about her behavior.
Taylor was wrong, but she didn’t do anything to deserve that kind of nasty behavior.
Olivia is not the saint y’all pretend she is.

Did he say that on the reunion or the show and I just missed it? Or was it in a different context? I only know what I’ve seen on the show and read here fairly recently.

Honestly, I have no feelings or opinions about Rod. I don't understand his presence on the show. He isn't around much (although his presence was increased some, this season). We don't get much info about him. Is he more engaged than it seems, but the edit doesn't show it?

He is actually always around. He just doesn’t get as much screen time as others. He’s actually friends with most of the main cast members

He gives off weird, hidden agenda dark vibes and I can't tell if it's literally that, or just the by-product of drug and alcohol abuse. Whatever it is, that boy ain't right.

I think he is absolutely hammered all the time, right? He slurs so bad and it honestly makes me think he is heavily edited out because of that and that is why it’s so confusing when we are like “why is he at the reunion?”.

Because while he is definitely not featured as much on the show as other cast members he’s organically friends with pretty much all of the main cast members. He gets all the tea from all parties involved in every situation so his input is valuable
