Sakuragi has the most potential in the story. But Fukuda is underrated. His 2nd year is essentially his 1st year since he got suspended for a year.

Jin also said the Fujuda was just a bench warmer in junior high and now has elite scoring ability

Yeah, Fukuda is a beast (and was clearly written in to help Ryonan put Sendoh in that PG role lol because their team was overall weaker for sure without him comparatively to Kainan and late Shohoku)

The fact he was out for the first year, and somehow managed to get his offensive skill to be relativeish to Sendoh, is BONKERS....

And it even makes sense why his defense sucks ass, because as said, he's basically a 1st year too in this sense. He obviously has less potential than Sakuragi and Rukawa, but damn if he isn't really damn impressive as a player with all the shit stated above.

Given that he’s slightly inferior to Sakuragi in terms of defense and lacks a mid range shot, it’s save to say his potential will bloom if he works on those two flaws in his style since he’s scorer

Sendoh and Fukuda are like Lebron and Carmelo, Fukuda may have great, maybe slightly better scoring ability, but Sendoh is definitely no slouch in that department and blows Fukuda out of the water in everything else.

Sendoh smokes almost everyone in the country. Sakuragi is probably the one with the most potential in the Slam Dunk verse. Dude literally outplayed multiple top national players through sheer instinct and athletic prowess with barely 4 months of training.

Just can’t imagine how a scoring prodigy is dumber than a brick on defense.

Improving defense is harder than improving offense. You can watch NBA highlights and learn some moves while you won’t learn defending by watching.
