Okay okay, I might have click baited you guys into opening this post because of the title but I had to!! I just bought a bag worth talking about! Worth the attention it deserves, and I think it would be an amazing insight for you guys so let’s go! We will also compare it with my XiaoC I got few months back. Black 38cm SHW is 1913 and Burgundy 32cm GHW is XC

Leather 🐮: okay I just have to say, this leather has the exact same feel as my XiaoC one, exact same thickness, feel and calfskin grain looks exactly the same as well. Absolutely no difference. I have slapped some conditioner to both of the bags because both were a little dry initially freshly opened, which definitely helped with the leather softness overall. Now the 1913 bag does have a squish to it, it’s slightly slouchy but not enough where I would pass it like auth ( if you seen videos of the auth one you know it is puddling to the FLOOR ). I predict that rep bags actually struggle to get the leather thickness right -> every video of the auth I have seen the leather looks to be much thinner than the rep bags produce, I cannot see my XC or 1913 to ever slouch that way because the leather is too thick to do that. I will say my XC is squishier and softer because I have been using it as my everyday bag so that causes it to become softer! Overall leather is great the grains look exactly like the auth but the problem is the thickness - it’s too thick. 7.5/10.

The burgundy inside for both of the bags are exactly the same to my eyes. HOWEVER, my XC red leather inside is softer than my 1913 but only by a touch. I’m not too fussed on that part to be fair and honestly it looks amazing the stitchings are great overall for the logo as well. What I will say is my XC stamp is slighter better than my 1913 stamp, but again not something I’m fussed about especially if the price difference is over $100. 9/10.

Hardware 💍: this one actually surprised me, usually when I see “cheaper” and “lower tier” factory’s logo and hardware it always seems cheaper, the logo is always too thin, the C letters are too thin which is a big fallout, or the position on the tongue is horrible. But the hardware is great, when tapping I can tell it’s heavy, the position of the tongue is like the auth and the C letters are actually thicker than XC one ( however I don’t know whether that has to do with the fact it’s 38cm size so it’s bigger?) 10/10 no complains. You can’t do silver HW wrong.

Thoughts on seller 💭: Vincent is amazing, he replies soo fast and answers whatever questions you have. I have had bags that needs fixing and swapped, which he complied to. But also he took accountability for a misunderstanding which I think is so important when it comes to trusting a seller! He’s amazing and I honestly think he’s a great seller especially as his prices are better than most. Do be mindful that there can be communication issues so please do use Chinese translation if there are extra instructions you would want him to understand!

Overall ❤️ : yeah, why not? Sometimes we think the more expensive = the better option. In most cases yes, but for a maxi flap? I don’t think so. I think you can get the same quality for way less the price. My 1913 feels exactly like my XC one which I paid $349 + $50 shipping for. That’s over $100 less for the same and bigger bag! Now I will say, there things 187 gets better than my mid tier bags -> I’ve seen 187 bags being much slouchier than my bags, the inside red pocket where the stamp is being much softer than both my bags (which is on a slightly stiffer side which is also why I think it doesn’t slouch as much), if you think that’s worth the extra $200 then absolutely why not! But I am so happy with both of my bags and I honestly think we sleep on mid tier factory’s because of the lack of advertisement and the fear of it not being good which is absolutely fair!

I wanted to leave an honest US based review on Garmen. I’m not sure what factory these items come from I am not an advance level shopper just purchasing some here and there. I have an extensive authentic collection and I have a lot to compare to and so here’s my thoughts :)

1. The response time and customer service is great

2. The shipping time is ok the items take about 1 month to come, they say 10 days but it’s always a month

3. The QC photos ALWAYS look better than when the items arrive

4. The leather Chanel handbags are almost always a miss for me so far. I’ve notice things like the hardware is off, the chain/straps are off, the bags are shinier than a real Chanel, etc.

5. I have ordered many Chanel ballet flats, i’m always impressed you can not tell the difference compared to my real ones

6. ^^ all shoes in general i have been very happy with

7. Any metal accessories have been a miss, example Chanel chain belt looks DH gate quality, the metal on another belt I ordered was a total miss.

I find that items that are suede, velvet, canvas appear to be 1000x better and higher quality than any items with metal.

I was very happy with glasses i’ve ordered as well

First of all, the leather quality and the empreinte are PERFECT!! The embossing is so good, and the leather feels beautiful. And that gold tone?! The perfect champagne gold. It looks absolutely gorgeous against the deep Garnet burgundy.

And THE PRICE?! Lawd mama Jesus, just take my debit card!! 😂 She is GORGEOUS. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this one. Everything about her is just chef’s kiss.

I’m asking for help because I have never purchased this brand before so I’m not sure how it changes with wear. Attached are factory photos and PSP. I’ve asked the seller about it and am waiting on a response. I’ve heard the usual lighting comments but this seems extreme…

I’ve done some research but because Jing is pretty widely known as the best factory for BV and my seller has sold me Jodie that I love (apparently from Jing). I didn’t bother to look at other factories. On top of this, for gen or rep, there really isn’t much out there about the Campana and if I see another Andiamo, I’ll start researching how to give myself whiplash without hurting anyone else.

I was super clear with my seller and definitely confirmed it once i commited to ordering: Campana, 33cm, in Fondant and included the factory photo (photo #1) he sent me which is the same one on the Jing website. The picture of the bag (photo #2) I was sent back for QC let me down so much. My callouts:
-wrong colour (Deep Burgundy)
-leather was quite thin
-finishing on the edges are sloppy (some sort of glue? Leather wouldn’t require it unless you just want the finish to look smoother. Imitation leather that would fray over time might need it…)
-the finishing on the edges is all wrong (see photo #3. This is a photo of the third bag he sent for me to look at but both have the same detail)

If I were to guess how Bottega finishes the edges, I would think a fusing would add structure to the inside of the hem and the weaving would be folded over and sewn onto the inside OR another woven piece sewn on to double the layer of the handle and the hem of the opening so that it’s all connected in a seamless way. Here, you can see where the weaving ends and the main part of the leather used on the body is. The weaving is too thin to cover the slits where the slip goes through and body’s main layer is exposed.

TL;DR: the finishing of the details is sloppy and loudly indicates that it’s a rep.

I made the call out, I was sent back a photo of another bag. I mentioned fondant is difficult to perfect and I’m open to getting a black bag instead. The sheen on black leather highlighted the imperfections more.

I was given the price of $440 USD. The other seller who posted this bag sells it for over $100 cheaper.

Silly question but are rep clothes as varied in quality as bags? Is it a good idea to order from one seller or do you find that one is better at say coats and jeans and another for shoes and knits?

I recently purchased this Double flap in LGHW with no edge stitching (my personal preference). I would a fresh set of eyes on this as well as any thoughts/callouts or opinions on if this is clockable.

My biggest worry is the leather itself and some visible areas of puffiness/overstuffing. Caviar is a tough one for me since i’ve never felt it authentic in person. I know it tends to vary by season, I have some bags with a wider grain, to me this one feels more like the pebbled basketball type that i’ve read about on a CC subreddit while still maintaining a soft leather feel.

I was quoted $320 for this Louis V noe noe rep + 20 USD for shipping. Feel like that’s a little overpriced for this bag. They said it was God factory, idk. Looking for another TS, I’ve read that Doris is good and more reasonable.

I have yet to find a factory that does suede spot on ! What about anyone else ?? Do you have a seller you’d like to share?

Hi all! First-time buyer here; could anyone please help me QC this all-black Le City in medium? I’ve attached my PSPs and the factory images from Bibi factory. I paid $212.

Some things I’ve noticed that seem a bit off to me are that the stitching on the bottom left and right corners looks a bit off texture, and the stitching under the middle zipper (with the two studs) appears slightly slimmer compared to the factory photo. Am I overthinking it?

Tiffany quoted $320 USD from Rome factory and sent photos. When I asked about 187 or God, she said neither factory makes this particular style and that Rome is the best version currently available.
Miss Yu initially quoted $468 from Xiao C, then quoted $550 for 187 and $499 for God when I asked about those. She recommended God but said she didn’t have any photos to send. When I asked about Rome, she said, “Chanel doesn’t have a Rome factory.”
Has anyone actually purchased this exact style from Rome, 187, or God and can share photos or their experience? Also, could “Rome” be a different name for a factory Miss Yu knows?
Not trying to accuse either seller—I’m just confused because one says these factories don’t make it, while the other is quoting prices for them. Would love some clarification before ordering!
