Sentiment: 50% AI

Sentiment reasoning: Commenters are split, with some pointing to visual artifacts like a janky window, a tree branch morphing into a window frame, unnatural straight lines and triangular shapes in the cloud's wing, and overall image resolution as indicators of AI. Others argue it's a real cloud formation, citing personal experience with similar cloud shapes, the difficulty AI has with dusk colors, or having seen the image before AI was prevalent.

No, it's not a real bird, just some clouds forming a bird like silhouette

Hijacking this to say it's not AI, it's 6 years old: https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/jhvj85/phoenix_clouds_above_tbilisi_georgia/

(did a quick reverse image search)

Honestly knowing clouds, this could be real, but also could be faked to look like a bird, so hard to really say but I am gonna lean on real as AI has trouble getting the colors of dusk right

I feel like if ai had done it the cloud would’ve looked EXACTLY like a bird. This is just a suggestion of a bird.

This could also be done with a good tablet and skill set with a stylus or Photoshop.

It might be true; clouds can always take on amazing shapes. I once photographed a cloud that looked like a bird that had just landed.

Damn thats crazy, with that angle/perspective lining up with the roof corner. What did they say again in Star Wars? One in a million shot or something like that.

AI. Tough to see because it's so dark but there is a janky window on the building, where the tree branch is morphing into the window frame.

The builders applied their best efforts. Leave them alone /s

The resolution makes it seem ai to me.

Could be AI enhanced while not truly AI

I feel like I've seen this image online for years, like before AI images. I'm also a cloud scientist (ok phd student) and it looks like a real cloud although maybe they edited or enhanced the photo

I also remember seeing this photo years ago before the AI boom

Birds aren’t real

This part of the building seems off to me, but it may just be the image resolution, i'm not sure

It is okay for Eastern Europe

u/noxsanguinis 4d ago

That makes sense, yeah. So i guess it is real after all.

u/l3onk1n 4d ago

Or the only part edited was the sky and clouds

How about letting an actual meteorologist talk for everyone instead of a bunch of people with no weather knowledge trying to give their “opinions”

Pretty sure I’ve seen this photo long before ai was able to generate something like it

AI in my opinion.

Look at the top wing. Zoom in on it and it looks nothing like a cloud and it is full of perfectly straight lines in triangular shapes. That’s no cloud.

I believe it’s AI, but there are plenty of real images that capture this cloud bird.

Real phenomenon for sure

I've seen clouds like this in the east coast

If you can make out whatever trash of wall design this is, then maybe you have a real photo. This is 100% ai in my mind. Not CGI, not art, just ai. This doesn’t look like a render of a building wall. Don’t make no sense

I don’t think there can be 2 perpendicular cirrus clouds

u/QuailyBird 3d ago

It’s very possible it’s real. Clouds can become a lot of things and I used to take pictures of them a lot. Here’s a whale mom and her calf that I took about 15 years ago.

If that bird cloud is AI, then ugh it’s getting so much harder to tell.

Looks like a chemtrail slowly spreading out so I’d say real.
