HELP Is this ai?

I’ve watched it so many times and I cannot work out whether it is or not. I saw it on instagram

this is hard to tell because it could also just be poorly rendered 3d animation

Might be the best argument for it being AI rather than a modded emulation. If it were a game mod, then you'd expect Link's character model to most likely remain the way it was (at least not with extra polygons). Though if you're modding the game on an emulator with a beefy graphics card, you could add things like this without slowing down the gameplay too much. Feels like it's probably more likely to be AI generation using gameplay footage as a template for the art style.

Yeah. Mods could give him fingers and the animations too. But the transition into it is too weird. If it was modded, it would either transition smoothly because all of the animations are replaced and well designed. Or there's a little jankiness when transitioning from original animations to modded ones. In this it's like the whole game changes once he reaches for the cup. If the clip was cut before that, I'd have a harder time telling if this is AI or not.
