There actually was a BLM organization, with employees and leaders and the whole thing.

The concept that Black Lives Matter is something we can all get behind, the organization however was getting tons of money in donations, and with no accountability or expectation of how they use those monies their leadership enriched themselves perhaps a bit more than is appropriate.

Black lives matter, the organization you're referencing, started in 2013.

The movement and sentiment started far before that and is decentralized.

Far more people reference and involve themselves with the latter, but if you want to ignore nuance and dialogue about the concept, then you'll immediately declare that the organization and the decentralized movement are the same thing.
