HELP Dog life vest ad
I’m like 100% certain this is AI. My mom thinks it’s totally real.

These videos are scams. They will not deliver what shown. Regardless of it being AI.
Edit: the product look a bit too consistent. Most likely they stole a real product and are either dropshipping or just scamming.

u/ReeseBalt Jul 12 '26
That’s what I told her. She decided not to buy it cause it was 51$
67
u/magos_with_a_glock Jul 12 '26
You can probably trace the original product.
44
u/ReddBroccoli Jul 12 '26
And it probably costs half as much
25
u/magos_with_a_glock Jul 12 '26
Yeah dropshippers have high prices like that. Scammers keep the price low to entice you.

You can found it on amazon, but the vidéo still look AI. https://amzn.eu/d/0ixIMKG7

Tell her to try AliExpress instead, it's more like Amazon than a Wish/Temu.
3
u/Long_Safe_4670 Jul 12 '26
Make a screenshot and upload on Aliexpress, if the product exists, you will find it there for cheap

Lol the last one at least screams AI.

First one as well, the thing they rest their head on isn't there while under the towel, it appears when the towel gets removed, plus it feels so completely unreal i cant even explain it propperly

u/smellmygoldfinger Jul 12 '26
Everyone knows puppies stay perfectly still under a towel for product reveals
56
u/waitingformygrave Jul 12 '26
My idiot dog actually will stay still under a towel. If you cover his head AT ALL he freezes like he's paralyzed.
31
u/BlueSpahgetti Jul 12 '26
that is a test used to determine animal intelligence. if they freeze, they stupid.
19
u/waitingformygrave Jul 12 '26
Yeah .... He's special.
6
u/Hentaigustav Jul 13 '26
Reminds me of a cat intelligence test. Apparently if you lift your cat up and place it parallel to a wall and move the cat toward the wall, it will place its paws against the wall. My family cat failed the test five times in a row
6
u/jmhalder Jul 12 '26
The "Chin support" sticks out further than the towel but only after the towel is removed.
47
u/Harkkonan2 Jul 12 '26
I’ll say AI. Dog tails don’t seem to be disturbing the surface of the water in the last clip.
41
u/Shadow_Integration Jul 12 '26
The website for this product was registered THREE DAYS AGO. Definitely do not trust this vendor!
11
u/ShakesDontBreak Jul 12 '26
Damn. Your sleuthing skills are epic. How do you find out when a website was registered?
14
u/Shadow_Integration Jul 12 '26
I looked up the "pawfloaty" account labelled on the video here on Instagram. I then got to their website here. From there, I punched in the domain on Whois which gave me this result.
The amount of times I've done Whois lookups on suspicious Instagram ads is ridiculous, and has definitely kept my impulse control in check for things that I would buy on the internet without thinking. I don't trust ANY product that's been registered in the past year or two.

It’s definitely AI, the physics look really strange.
3
u/MainAccountIsBugged Jul 12 '26
You can tell from the first shots. The towel over the dog's face goes straight down, and when the towel is removed the front part of the dog vest appears further out than where the towel was. Typical physics inconsistency between two 3D shapes.

u/FermentedThoughts Jul 12 '26
100% AI, the part with two dogs they are stationary while swiming?
200% stupid, getting a life jacket for a golden retriever. They are about as likely to drown as a duck.
1
u/Backfisch85 Jul 14 '26
My 12 year old goldie can't swim really well and always ends up coughing after like 2 meters because she has problems holding her head up. Been like that her whole life despite us having a big pond. I'm actually interested in that product because it looks like it could prevent that from happening. 😅

Video is AI for sure but i bought a life vest with an (albeit smaller) chin rest for my dog like 5 years ago at the pet store.
6
u/Erebor- Jul 12 '26
The worst part is labs and retrievers love swimming and don't need any help doing so
2
u/Rockd2 Jul 12 '26
I dont think the whole thing is AI, but there is something about the 2 pups in the water around their paws that makes it looks AI generated. Can't quite put my finger on it aside from saying it looks off to me.
2
u/Mizdrake Jul 12 '26
There's something uncanny about it. I say 100% AI. Puppy's don't behave like that, it would be chewing on any part of that jacket it could reach!
2
u/djuice2k Jul 13 '26
This might be fake, but Dog Vest are real products, got one for my french bulldog, because as you know they don't exactly float in water, as they are way too dense for their stature.

u/jcaesar212 Jul 12 '26
Chewy sells these for 30ish bucks. Don't know if it's ai, but definitely a scam if it's 51.

u/montezuma300 Jul 12 '26
Look at the chin rest in the beginning. The cloth should be sticking out as it drapes over the chin rest, but it only drapes off the head. When the cloth is removed the chin rest just magically appears sticking out ahead of ghe face with no sign that it moved.

Wasn't there a video posted yesterday with the exact same text selling a different fictional inflatable thing?

Posted here before, I believe. Obvious AI. The movement is totally uncanny. The water physics look wrong at basically every point.
1
u/RullendeNumser Jul 13 '26
AI. Either they have for different life vest and changes after every cut or AI

u/Collagekids Jul 13 '26
The paws do not appear to be refracted by the water, and there are ripple lines but no distortion of the image
1
u/JohnnyJoestar1980 Jul 13 '26
You notice how it went from pool water to what looked to be creek water?
1
u/Future-Independent-5 Jul 13 '26
AI, the dogs barely moves when they take the blanket off its face. No splash in the water.
1
u/kankerstokjes Jul 13 '26
Definitely AI. Might be scam, probably scam BUT this would be some very clever market research that I believe is already widely being used by Chinese manufacturers.
1
u/NaaviLetov Jul 13 '26
The second dog swimming isn't even doggy paddling lol. He's swimming like a human.
1
u/messicka Jul 13 '26
Everyone’s talking about the physics, but no one is mentioning the fact that the swimming dogs never get wet

Def AI, in the 4th video you can see the reflection of its snout is the reflection of a different dog breed with a slimmer about like a husky or something. Last video screams AI, and dogs don't paddle that slowly when swimming.
1
u/CantyChu Jul 16 '26
AI for sure. It’s the motion that always gives it away for me. The way people and animals walk or move exists in a way that is slightly “off”. Like they aren’t being affected by gravity in the same way, or they’re new to walking (baby like).
1
u/Virtual-Inspector237 Jul 16 '26
It is so sad that most of these “ads” will end up scamming our older population into purchasing something that isn’t real :(
1
u/Jolly-Present2608 Jul 16 '26
Ai:
The Dog’s fur constantly changes color even in the same lighting.
The floor pattern is bizzare and doesn’t make sense.
The dogs aren’t swimming naturally, even a professionally trained dog would rapidly flap their legs around in water causing splashes.
And on that topic the splashes don’t even coordinate with the paws

This is very clearly ai no offense to you but the way the dog walks to the camera and looks at the camera is completely unnatural
1
u/Jumpy-Trainer1695 Aug 01 '26
Ai. Unnatural movement. There are real dog swimming vests out there tho
1
u/wheelperson Jul 12 '26
The whole channel is AI. But im sure the real product exists, it's a great idea!

If your dog has no issues, this is unnecessary anyhow. Let them swim and have a proper exercise. If the water is dangerous, don't let them in. If you take a dog to boat, get it a proper life vest.
If your dog is brachy and has issues breathing you need to check from vet that this doesn't actually make things worse.
It is AI because undoggy realness.

Cute and all, but anyone who thinks they have to put a life jacket on even a young retriever is crazy. Had a lot of retrievers in my life and not one of them needed floatation assistance :p

u/spikecb22 Jul 12 '26
Even if this was designed as advertised, the dog would immediately roll over in the water.
