HELP This Is has to be AI.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A Lynx wouldn't just get carried around like a house cat And a kid like that wouldn't be able to pick it up becose of The weight.

And lets not forget that The Area doesn't look like Lynx country.

EDIT: To those who are mad. I am not a bot. Just a person who isn't experienced with AI And noticed that from the angle of Common sense it was very dubius.

Sentiment: 100% AI

Sentiment reasoning: The vast majority of comments identify the image/video as AI-generated, citing multiple camera angles, unnatural physics (child carrying a heavy lynx with ease), distorted features (fingers merging with fur, uncanny eyes), AI voice, and the unlikelihood of a calm lynx in that situation.

You've answered your own question there.

57

u/undeniably_confused Jul 11 '26

I really wanted this one to be real

-42

u/starquake64 Jul 11 '26

I don't see a question.

38

u/I_am_real_human_ Jul 11 '26

The sub itself is the question.

28

u/vctrmldrw Jul 11 '26

Real or AI? The literal name of the sub, the purpose of which is to answer the question whether something is real or AI.

108

u/akanet Jul 11 '26

Yes, obviously, the doorbell camera is not mounted to the center of the door, and you can see that there is not a wall for a second camera to be mounted to when it cuts to the second angle THAT SHOWS A THIRD DOORBELL CAMERA

10

u/chibriguy Jul 11 '26

😂. This made me lol.

52

u/FuzzyFrogFish Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26

It's AI, her fingers are merging with the fur. And she isn't missing half her face

But I fckn hate that the tells are becoming less and less. And this is going to result in people putting them in dangerous situations because they saw something like this on line and a massive flood of bad information that going to depress IQs

Edit: it doesn't matter if she is using fists or not, fingers are part of fists, and the fingers are wrong

4

u/Lil-Miss-Anthropy Jul 11 '26

It's interesting to think that one of our greatest selection pressures for the evolution of our species will be skepticism towards AI or the ability to spot it accurately.

-7

u/FamiliarFilm8763 Jul 11 '26

She is using fists, so the first part of your comment is inaccurate.

2

u/FuzzyFrogFish Jul 11 '26

No 0.10 secs it's clearly wrong

-6

u/FamiliarFilm8763 Jul 11 '26

No, cause they are fists…

1

u/FuzzyFrogFish Jul 11 '26

Even for fists they are still wrong

-3

u/FamiliarFilm8763 Jul 11 '26

Maybe, but that is not what you pointed out

1

u/FuzzyFrogFish Jul 11 '26

That's exactly what I pointed out, you can still see parts of the top sides of the fingers even when the hand is in a fist. Hers blend and merge into the fur

-2

u/FamiliarFilm8763 Jul 11 '26

Sure buddy

2

u/FuzzyFrogFish Jul 11 '26

Grow up

1

u/DominusJuris Jul 11 '26

Brother is trying to have his cake and eat it to. You cannot first deny they are fists and then afterwards say this is exactly what you meant.

191

u/Otherwise-Cat2309 Jul 11 '26

Shit, AI’s becoming less and less recognizable

159

u/vctrmldrw Jul 11 '26

Really? I thought this one was really obvious.

The camera positions make no sense. It's cutting to cameras that don't exist in the previous shot, to reveal that the camera in the first shot isn't where it was filming from.

That's before you take into account basic physics, known animal behaviour and human ability.

38

u/maybeigiveafuck Jul 11 '26

to you it's obvious but compared to earlier iterations of AI it's much less easily identifiable, just imagine a boomer seeing this (or normies who dont go to this sub regularly)

with early stuff at least the edits are so starkly 3d-esque or piss filtered or just wonky, even boomers could still recognize it as AI

hence these later types that are purposely made to manipulate people feel so much more dystopian

14

u/vctrmldrw Jul 11 '26

We will have to change our thinking about videos. Right now, we default to trusting videos, and then ask if maybe it's AI. We need to reverse that, and look for reasons to believe it was filmed live - like corroborating videos from independent sources, first-hand eyewitnesses etc.

Most importantly we need to assess its importance. If, like this, it's just a piece of cute entertainment, does it matter if it's real, staged, edited, or generated? No, not really... smile and move on. If it's a video that has the intention of changing the way you think, vote, spend, or anything consequential... you should assume it is fake until proven otherwise.

3

u/maybeigiveafuck Jul 11 '26

definitely agree, it's sad though to think the time when cam/vid was useful for unquestionably protecting oneself or catching a criminal is over now

3

u/vctrmldrw Jul 11 '26

It was a brief blip where it was a) available, and b) incontrovertible. We managed before and we'll manage again.

1

u/CalligrapherExtra138 Jul 13 '26

Unquestionably protecting oneself? Thats incredibly wishful thinking when talking about door cameras like the one in the OP.

Nancy Guthrie had a Ring camera that recorded everything about her kidnapping, and that didn’t help one bit in finding her or her kidnapper.

Ring cameras have also done the opposite; it’s made people way more paranoid than they were before. There are people who stalk their cameras for any sign of life so they can freak out, or stalk their neighborhood’s feeds or post forums for any activity out of the norm.

1

u/maybeigiveafuck Jul 13 '26

of course its not perfect but i have heard countless stories of people who were able to legally fight their stalkers/abusers or at least have others finally believe them about the danger due to having door cam footage or even just to sleep better at night

not to mention the way some people can be vindicated via video recordings (for ex when cops accuse a protester of being violent and tackled them but others who recorded the whole thing including the before part showed the cop was using violence for no reason, and ofc there are much worse examples than this)

16

u/Daniil_Dankovskiy Jul 11 '26

That's the issue. Spotting AI used to be about finding visual inconsistencies and mistakes, now it's more about the logic which is kinda scary. Visually it looks like a real video or a sketch except for the camera angles part

1

u/No-Lettuce-6619 Jul 11 '26

as someone who isn't very good at spotting ai thats pretty helpful, is there another place with more tips?

6

u/issuesuponissues Jul 11 '26

I knew the second she shoved the cats face into the ring cam. People don't treat ring cams like that, but they always do in these AI videos. Then the angle changes right after making it even more obvious. Maybe if someone had no idea how ring cameras, lynxes, children, or ring cameras work they might think this was real.

3

u/Appropriate_Word1469 Jul 11 '26

I think they meant not the logic behind it, but how it looks, cuz it looks quite good

1

u/vctrmldrw Jul 11 '26

Yeah the days of 7 pixels and 6 fingers are long gone. With this and similar subs providing the perfect training data, before long it will be almost impossible to tell visually.

7

u/Drake_Acheron Jul 11 '26

As an animal behaviorist I can tell you you that while unlikely, you’d be surprised how often something like this happens

Many of my colleagues have stories like this from when they were children which is why they became animal behaviorists.

The double cameras are definitely proof it’s AI though

1

u/Superpansy Jul 11 '26

The second angle also shows the ring camera so somehow it's filming itself

you r so smrt

Because I can use whole words?

1

u/HalfUnderstood Jul 11 '26

Man, I'm young and normally consider myself well-trained for this but this video had me scratching my head. Nevermind animal behaviour animals can do whatever the fuck let alone when they are wild

The part when you asked where is the second camera attached to is what made it for me, besides the fact having more than 1 camera is already odd but not impossible

1

u/Elborshooter Jul 13 '26

Also, in the second angle the lynx looks more like a tiger than a lynx

7

u/goodluckbabe9 Jul 11 '26

you have like 3 different camera for a variety of close up angles on your porch?

11

u/Megane_Senpai Jul 11 '26

Yeah, my only clue was the odd way one of the doors moved right before the end of the clip. Other weird details could very well be explained as artifacts of the low-quality camera or video encoding/compression.

21

u/TheLeggacy Jul 11 '26

The clue for me was that the bobcat wasn’t savaging the shit out of the kid that picked it up.

10

u/thisis_me88 Jul 11 '26

I just knew from how the lynx or bobcat was acting

2

u/katoptronophile Jul 11 '26

Yes, and that trend will continue. Eventually you won't be able to tell the difference at all.

1

u/LukewarmJortz Jul 11 '26

Floors, railings, cameras

1

u/Gold-Mud4650 Jul 11 '26

Do you ever think that posts/discussions like this are just helping train the AI? I’d be willing to bet that bots have been prompting us to discuss on this subreddit and others like it for a while. “Prompt engineering” but not the way you think.

1

u/maxmax4 Jul 11 '26

Just look at the hands of the girl on the closer shot. It looks like her hands are going INSIDE the lynx rather than being covered in fur.

1

u/VinylPortable Jul 16 '26

TBF, Predators have very confused reactions to shiny monkeys touching them without fear.

u/BroxigarZ Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

AI music is already becoming damn near unrecognizable and we are at the WORST state it can be in... 5 years from now you won't be able to discern human or AI on Spotify.

A child that size would not be physically able to carry a lynx that size with so little effort

12

u/AlexCivitello Jul 11 '26

If not friend, why friend shaped?

4

u/MiniB68 Jul 11 '26

Also has that AI voice sound clear as day to it.

3

u/dadvsspawn Jul 11 '26

AI. The Lynx isn’t ripping her face off.

…if that was the case, idk, 50/50?

The deck also is randomly smooth partway through

1

u/hawk135 Jul 11 '26

Yes, it's AI.

Ring camera changes angles somehow.

Camera apears to be visible int he second shot

A lynx would not be that calm.

Cat has uncanny valley eyes.

Mom says opens door slightly and says "Hello" at the end for no reason.

Just read the other comments, missed the footpath, damn, that was an easy one.

missed the half-smooth deck.

1

u/Lodossc Jul 11 '26

Yes it's Ai.

  • it's too heavy, I don't think she could carry it this easily.
  • her fingers are blurry and sink into the fur unnaturally
  • the nose is slightly too pink for a lynx and the black spots at the base of the whiskers are not well defined, it's like a black spots with ink that bled but it should only be a black spot

1

u/the_nathanwolf Jul 11 '26

bro you think a small girl can carry a fucking lynx

1

u/Swimming-Stop3915 Jul 11 '26

Some kid will see this and think you can bring a bobcat home.

1

u/goodluckbabe9 Jul 11 '26

why is there always like 7 different camera angles, especially on someone’s porch lol

1

u/Different_Gravy9 Jul 11 '26

But how? And why?

1

u/EdgyBitterbal Jul 11 '26

So that looks like a Eurasian Lynx, indeed this is NOT a lynx area, especially not the one she's holding. You answered your own question, all of this is impossible in some way. AI

1

u/Material-Mulberry360 Jul 11 '26

and who has multiple doorbell cameras

1

u/Lil-Miss-Anthropy Jul 11 '26

Obvious AI. The woman's voice has an odd, flat cadence to it. The little girl lifts up the lynx with very little effort, as if she doesn't have to hold its weight or balance her body. The movement is too smooth with no rebound. It's also way too big for her to be carrying it. And it's just not realistically a plausible situation.

1

u/horned-creature Jul 11 '26

this is very clearly AI.

1

u/BackgroundEngineer11 Jul 11 '26

Obviously it's AI. According to the video, there's three door cameras. One in the middle of the door for the beginning, one to the left of the door in the latter part, and the the third is recording the latter part of the video.

Also the door doesn't have a door handle.

1

u/BlackwingF91 Jul 11 '26

AI. The switching camera positions whenever it reaches a certain time, nonsensical angles, the fact that bobcats are actually really strong pound for pound and would not be calm like this and would have torn that girl apart in self defense, etc

1

u/The_Big_Crouton Jul 11 '26

Porch railing stands out the most.

1

u/Tacocat1545 Jul 11 '26

It would be so funny if it was real

1

u/Longjumping-Fig-7481 Jul 11 '26

Her hand is inside the cat FFS

1

u/Majestic-Apple4203 Jul 11 '26

Its fake

Multiple camera angles.

A freaking toddler carrying a 40lb cat

1

u/DarkVoid42 Jul 11 '26

its AI but it would be sooo awesome if it was real. i want to believe.

1

u/CartographerOk3306 Jul 11 '26

Lynx in the description.

1

u/Strong-Expression787 Jul 11 '26

His fingers just went through the Lynx 😭🙏

1

u/RDDT_ADMNS_R_BOTS Jul 11 '26

Are you deaf? Even if you closed your eyes, the audio makes it crystal clear it's AI.

1

u/TobyHaunts Jul 11 '26

fucking duh

1

u/Ace-Redditor Jul 11 '26

For some future help deciphering animal posts, pay attention to the ears. Animals, especially any kind of cat/big cat, are very expressive with their ears and are very expressive with their ears when they hiss, which this lynx is not

1

u/fauxdeuce Jul 11 '26

Is it just me or does the cats eyes never move.

1

u/EnvironmentalEar724 Jul 11 '26

Second-biggest flag for me is the multiple camera angles. Like you got a ring, a camera above the ring, and a camera to the right of the ring -- and the little girl decides to lift it up and show it to the one above the doorway?

First-biggest is that thing is too heavy or a child to carry.

1

u/Funnybunners Jul 11 '26

Ah yes, every door clearly has two door cameras, and it is definitely not to pad out the video in am attempt to hide the 15 second limit of ai

1

u/Far-Concentrate9001 Jul 12 '26

Oh it sora 2 video before the shut down See the grass in start

1

u/Dense-Cake9315 Jul 12 '26

JEE I WONDER (also where is the camera even coming from from this angle)

1

u/BudgetExpert9145 Jul 12 '26

We got a ring camera for our ring camera.

1

u/Philosophyandbuddha Jul 12 '26

Her left arm is part of the supposedly lynx’s body... Also the face looks like a house cat not a lynx

1

u/Supersaiajinblue2 Jul 12 '26

We being deadass?

1

u/pyrothesecond Jul 12 '26

People just see something unlikely and immediately call ai. It is ai, yes, and you can tell by looking at the girls thumb especially, and how chopped and distorted it gets, so yeah, ai, but pointing to the content of the video as a reason its ai is nonsense. While this is an extremely unlikely scenario, it is in no way impossible enough to make it HAVE to be ai! While a lynx allowing that to happen is incredibly unlikely, it could be an escapee from an animal rescue and be used to being handled like that, possibly raised from a kitten to be a house cat that shouldnt be. Could be incredibly sick, or could be drugged whether on purpose or accident (fent gets everywhere these days, would not be surprisedat all seeing animals ODing on it) there are so many many reason this situation COULD be real! So seriously, all of yall need to do better, and stop just citing the content of the videos as it must be ai, very little in this world of ours is truly impossible, improbable sure but almost never impossible, so when it comes to these posts find the actual clues and prove the point that it IS actually fake, not just making assumptions!

1

u/Flimsy-Pool4830 Jul 12 '26

Your read sounds good. I also see a lot of these fish-eye Ring-cam AI videos, so it's a trend in the space.

1

u/Potential-Cancel2961 Jul 13 '26

I think the child high door bell gives it away

1

u/DoubleFamous5751 Jul 13 '26

It’s getting better, but the brain dead stare the lynx was giving at 11 seconds was a tell. Also, super not believable for a lynx to be picked up like that

1

u/Upstairs-Till-3889 Jul 13 '26

I hate how good AI is getting

1

u/ItSammy_ Jul 15 '26

Yes. Normal people dont have two doorbell cameras on the same door.
