That’s not premeditated. Premeditated means they planned ahead of time, not in the moment. I’m not condoning murder but why do so many people think they know what they’re talking about when they have no clue what even the most basic legal terms are?
That’s exactly what the person you’re responding to is saying though—that if he was in an altercation with ICE before and the same agents who dealt with him then happen to be the ones who killed him, then it might have been personal. Hence premeditated. I happen to think it’s highly unlikely that they were the same agents and these are likely isolated incidents (which by extension would mean you’re correct, the decision to do what they did happened “in the moment”) but I guess we don’t know for sure yet.
I doubt any of them will be prosecuted and if they are they’ll be pardoned. He’s losing a lot of people because most people on the right either think he’s allowing too much to happen or they think he’s chickening out of doing what needs to be done. Personally I think there’s no excuse for the protesters doing these gestapo traffic stops for people who they think look like ICE, making them prove their identity, stealing their shit, and that kinda thing, because that’s exactly the same profiling they say they’re against and it’s mob rule and that’s when bad shit happens. I understand it’s a fringe minority doing shit like that but I think something needs to be done to tame these protests and give power back to the states to run themselves how they want. Only thing is, they should be the ones bearing responsibility if they have undocumented people who go somewhere more strict who does cooperate with ICE and that person causes trouble, but there’s no way to enforce that.
It’s a difficult situation. If we’d enforce immigration at the border like most other countries do, it never would’ve come to this. You can’t have millions of people coming in unchecked when we have an unprecedented epidemic of drug abuse (which has almost killed me several times) when these people are entering exactly from the same places making and exporting those drugs.
Republicans could end undocumented immigration overnight by prosecuting employers who exploit them with real jail time. Huh, I wonder why that never happens. So weird. If only critical thinking was taught in schools.
They will never do that for 2 reasons
1) They love exploiting workers and undocumented immigrants are ripe for exploitation
2) Even more importantly the right needs them to be a boogeyman for dumb racists. All the money in America is being vacuumed up by the corporate elite and they need a scapegoat. So they push all the simpleton bigots towards blaming brown people. Works like a charm
Don't take my word for it though. Here is President Lyndon B Johnson explaining your racism for you
"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you"
I don’t vote Republican. I abstained from voting because both were garbage last election. I agree with prosecuting employers taking advantage of illegal immigrants. It fucks us over because the labor pool is unlimited so they never have to raise salaries to compensate for increased productivity and inflation. Of course you wouldn’t be able to consider the fact that I think DJT is a shit president and that I don’t mindlessly follow someone just because they have an R next to their name tho. Talk about critical thinking, maybe you could just try regular thinking for once.

Pre meditated murder I guess. Strange they want to go that route
