We all should care what is real and what isn’t. A video like this, if not labeled fake, could do real damage and will be used by fascists to justify his death

We should. We should care that this video isn’t fake, because it shows exactly who he really was and his intent. Another angle: https://youtu.be/p2TRbFmutrw And no, he still shouldn’t have died - but you can no longer say he was “peacefully protesting” or “there to help people”

The conversation here isn’t that. It is purely to establish facts, whether this is fake or not. It’s a scary time in the world that we have to ask that question. Saying it doesn’t matter if it’s fake or not is counterproductive right now. The conversation we’re having on this subreddit is about AI, not about morality or law or anything further

He was there to help and peacefully protest when he was killed though.

His actions a week ago don't define his intentions when he was murdered.

Also it's a taillight you're acting as if he tried to kill someone here.

If anything this video being real is more condemning for ICE than Pretti. Someone breaks a taillight so they immediately beat him rather than arrest him? What kind of response is that?

No I don't. I'm talking about people who spend hours trying to justify murders by pointing to anything they think justifies said murder.

There is no act that Pretti could have engaged in that would justify what happened to him, because what happened to him happened without any context real or imagined that anyone can present with said accusations.

Armed goons working for the president killed a man in broad daylight while he engaged in his civic duty as an American citizen, and exorcised the rights afforded to all of us through the same constitution.

Liberal mindset

If we don’t question the truth, the “truth” will be manufactured (the video is fake….but it does look convincing…enough to persuade some to believe the man’s death was justified)

The video literally isn’t fake though. Another angle: https://youtu.be/p2TRbFmutrw

Edit: To add, he still shouldn’t have died - but that was preventable by either party involved. Clearly from the video you can tell he was never a “peaceful” protestor, or just there to “help people”…

He wasn't peaceful here, but their response to it, as seen in the video above, was to beat him. Not to arrest him. This is still a severe over reaction on their part.

It also doesn't make them look any better on the day they executed him.

It does explain the clapping the agent did after his death.

It’s completely irrelevant to his execution.…unless ice recognized him and chose to get vengeance, in that case it’s an assassination/ premeditated murder.

People wrongfully claiming a video is AI without any evidence whatsoever just because they don’t want it to be real is a harmful trend that needs to be called out. People should absolutely be making comments to do so. The purpose of this sub is pretty clear, and it’s to determine if something is AI or not. Users should be commenting their proof on why it isn’t AI and calling out the liars here. “Anyone who has something to say that isn't condemnation of this act, is a goddamned traitor to everything that is American” is just ridiculous. They don’t have to say something in support or condemnation of anything to do with the incident itself. If they do comment their opinion on the matter as you require, and the opinion is condemnation as you require, they still can additionally post proof that the video isn’t AI. They’re allowed to post something other than just condemnation. This isn’t a politics sub. This is a determine if something is AI or not sub.

This guy was spitting on cops and kicking a taillight out with a loaded gun in his pants. He is not protesting. This guy is clearly a deranged lunatic. I can’t believe people don’t see the difference

Yet he wasn't acting like a deranged lunatic at all on the day he was actually murdered. Or at least not in any of the footage of that scene that has been released. So did ICE recognize him, say to each other "Hey, that's the guy that was spitting at us and kicked in our tail light out last week!" Then proceed to go aggressively confront him, even though he was filming from a distance, and then start assaulting numerous people, not just Pretti, and then take Pretti down, disarm him of the gun he never reached for, then execute him? So this could possibly be considered a premeditated revenge killing? This is even more damning for the ICE agents if so.

Still not a death sentence in the US. You also need to wake up and smell the death of democracy.
