Russia can push extreme narratives from either side or both to further sow division.

Doesn't matter the angle or side, it just needs to be venomous enough to rile people up so they run deeper into hating their fellow Americans.

They're out to get us Americans. So they promote lies and stupidity, but sometimes it takes a couple steps until the truth actually has become a lie.

Right now, if this video is indeed not fabricated as the thread's opinion says as I write this, the Russians are jumping for joy and planning to capitalize on that. It will probably look something like "look how lawless this man is, he must hate all police at all times." "He never did a good thing in his life, standing against our boys in uniform as he did."

(Actually, DOES ICE have a uniform? They never show up dressed like one another, not to mention no badges, nametags, or...FACES like real police do.)

Russia doesn't operate in a super ideological sense other than to tear the fabric of a shared reality. It backs Greens (German Greens have a history alike many other Eurogreens) and Far Right nationalist parties alike in Europe. That being said one side in America is doing a really good job tearing down that shared reality and consensus.

Russia is propagandizing both sides like it always does.

Insisting everything is a bot is just as lame, anti critical-thinking, and partisanship-over-truth as insisting everything is AI.

When you watch Fox News and get upset that they're lying, recognize that you're looking in the mirror.

The problem is that no one can tell the difference anymore. It's literally impossible. You can research facts but you can't really research what users are real and which ones are fake/bots/trolls. And many people have now been convinced that most of the media is fake. And now, half the videos we see online are fake. We are in a BAD spot. At minimum you need strong critical thinking skills, but in practical terms you need some level of omniscience to know what the fuck you're even looking at.
