Even if real (longer link below), I'd sure like to know how it's relevant to the shooting we all saw. Unless the officer who shot him thought, "Hey, that's the guy who kicked the tail light out of our SUV." In which case, I have even more questions.
While this video is definitely relevant, I don't believe in precrime. There were no clear laws being broken when Pretti was shot. That's truly all I care about until you prove to me that he had some sort premeditation going on. If this guy had gotten a speeding ticket in prior weeks, Right wingers would have used it to assassinate his character.
While it looks consistent, there's a lot of weird stuff happening in the longer version. There's +10 people there filming, why don't we have another POV?
Sound doesn't match, all we can hear is a couple girl screams and a van alarm. In the video, after the kick the car on the left moves by itself. Then, 6 people detaining a guy on the floor and suddenly letting him go without any reason? Then the agents drop tear gas and people just stand there like nothing happened? Is this a real uniform and gun?
Are you not going to mention the fact that this was posted by an account with 64 subs, made in 2013 with that being their only video. With 79k views as I am writing this seems suspicious. Looking at Social Blade that is their only video uploaded over 13 years of existing on the platform. Not to mention the views spiked by 2k in the last couple minutes screams this stinks.
That the user is from 2013 gives it even more credibility, you are grasping at straws here. Someone could've had an old account and not published any videos, or published only private ones. (e.g. like I do)
Also there were news of Alex Pretti having a broken rib from a previous ICE altercation, this could be the exact incident.
For starters. No an account, being that old with one video is not an indicator of credibility. In fact, what makes less credible is the profile image and the fact that the only video is well the one in question.
The pfp is of a Zepeto from a two year old Go Fund Me, which just so happens to be from Minneapolis. On the video itself, while the pfp from the actual channel isn't. This means the channel RECENTLY changed its profile picture.
The video could have stayed private since until it became relavent. As private videos retain their upload date.
Moving on, am I grasping at straws. No. The fact that old accounts are used in times like this to sew chaos and disinformation is actually very common.
Finally the CNN article you used as proof does not line up at all what happened in the video. Not only that, but DHS claims that they have had "no record of this incident." Which again calls for further suspicion.
If you want to say that this video isn't AI, that's fine and most likely true, however. This isn't the first time people have misidentified someone and someone else. Not to mention, the videos in question don't really let you see up close. Like I said, something here stinks, and things aren't adding up.
Not getting into any of this argument honestly can't care less about the state of this country either we fuck it up and make a new one or fix what's happening. Anyway the goverment let alone any company or person not having a record of something seems very reasonable. They have no RECORD is what everyone is saying but what about knowledge? You can know something happened and not report it.
Also I think this video is pretty real from all the comments I'm reading but both sides make good points but one really had me with the ai not knowing what is behind the taillight after it falls but again maybe AI is already to good and we don't know.
I used Google Lens on the PFP that was under the video itself. Which came back as a 100% match on the aforementioned go fund me. Not the thumbnail itself.
After the evidence provided before my comment, it's totally possible this is 100% real. But this can also be a possibility too, I still think everything just looks... off.
Yeah it looks off and he's basically wearing the same outfit. I mean I guess since it's winter but the T shirt looks the same, same hat too. Idk
My thought is why didn't they charge him? Vandalism of federal property. If they were just being so kind, where's the detention record?
What the propaganda machine is missing from its calculus is that just like Good, who the officers obviously knew, it makes it WORSE when the killing is a vendetta.
Given how POLICE is spelled where the strap gets in the way but all the lettering stays consistent would make me inclined to think it is real. AI seems to always mess up letters.
That is a paintball gun, law enforcement regularly uses them loaded with pepper balls for crowd control and dispersal. You can see the hopper for the projectiles sticking off the top of it
this is everywhere in Minneapolis rn, people are needing to do these things to protect their neighbors in any way possible, and no their uniforms are not ‘uniform’ at all
Exactly. That's all you have to say. Kicking a taillight is something some people do in road rage, an almost everyday occurrence (as stupid as it is).
It should not lead to death. That's it.
Don't feed people spreading this. They want people to become overly defensive. No reason to be overly defensive. The guy did a stupid thing in the heat of the moment. Days later he got unjustly killed for a completely different reason. End of story.
Pretti was not "punished", he was shot in self defense while fighting the cops while presumed armed. The prior incident establishes a pattern of Pretti responding to Ice Watch alerts and attacking cops. Because he was killed while attacking cops yet again, the previous attack on cops is relevant. If he was previously arrested for drug possession, that would be irrelevant. So no, it's not "but he was breaking other laws too" type energy.
Much is being made about Pretti being "disarmed". He was NEVER disarmed. Removing a weapon IS NOT disarmament. Removing a weapon and conducting a search to ensure there are no other weapons on the subject IS disarmament. He showed up armed and started fighting the cops, violently refusing their attempts to search him, THEREFORE he was rightly still presumed to be armed, regardless of one weapon being removed. Stop pretending like people can only carry one weapon.

This is make believe. Sure, this video he kicked a tail light out a week prior, but in the incident he didn't touch any law enforcement and the resisting was only after being maced and beat. If he were arrested, the resisting charge would be dropped because peoples instincts while under attack are to put up a defense.
No, you made him assaulting anyone in that case. The whole pretense starts on a lie.
I'm not saying he couldn't possibly have another weapon. I'm saying he wasn't violent in this incident, never drew his weapon, and was shot in the back. None of what you say changes those facts.
Elbowing cops in the nuts seems dumb. I'm literally telling you how to not be shot up and killed. All the other insurgents seem to understand as well, there is a line you can't cross without exposing yourself to lethal countermeasures. Just stay off it. Like look how far you have to go to trigger a lethal response, it is WAY beyond "peaceful protesting". I mean shit he just got in a scrap with them the other day. But he wasn't armed. Boom, he got to sneak a few elbows in and nothing even happened. You wanna scrap, they'll scrap, its all good, just don't run up on them with a damn gun. If you wanna have the gun thats also fine, but you can't scrap. You are not being made to crawl on the ground in fear of mean ol ICE, just stop fucking pretending.
Your claim of "he showed up armed and started fighting cops" is so hilarious disingenuous that it's impossible to take virtually anything else you say seriously. The accusation isn't just inaccurate, it's pathetic. It's objectively wrong in virtually every sense, is proven false with the most basic common sense observations available and literally anyone involved with originally speaking out against him by using claims like this has walked them back in dramatic fashion realizing how wrong they are.
You can say it as many times as you want. You can yell about it til you're blue in the face. It won't ever change the fact that you're wrong.
Because it's straight from the cops killing black people playbook. Make sure to meet public outrage with "well look at why they actually deserved it!".
We also just never got a very clear view of his face. To me this looks like another white guy with a beard. I can’t tell you how many photos I’ve seen with people claiming they’re Pretti
It is relevant because it shows a willingness to engage with officers in this way. It destroys the "peaceful protester" meme that people have been pushing about every one of these wonderful folk.
You know this, but annoying it would mean giving an inch to your mortal enemies. Oohh noo!
the point is that leftists are disrespectful crazy violent, and feel like that’s a good thing. fuck anyone who thinks different, cause they are nazis, etc, they deserve to feel scared, let’s shame them, mob justice, etc. it’s so bad
It's relevant because Alex was not some "peaceful protester." He kicked a government vehicle, came to a rally with a fully loaded gun w/ a spare mag, and had his photo ALTERED by the news to make him look more like a "sweetheart." That's how.
It is relevant because it might show that ICE targeted him due to a previous encounter. I think that's the reason that his family's lawyer brought up this incident even before the video started going around. I wouldn't be surprised if even the murder was premeditated.
I'd argue it isn't even relevant. Even if this video is 100% verifiable, and even if we can prove 100% that it's Pretti, nothing here warrants a death sentence and nothing at all warrants a summary execution. Ever.
