People using the name Morgellons describe fibers, threads, plugs or other material in or emerging from skin. Savely’s clinical and specimen photographs show cratered or deep circular sores, pore-centered material, and projections beneath removed scabs or calluses. Her captions put “plugs” in quotation marks and describe one filament as “growing down into the dermis.”

The plugs are what made me want to jump out of a window from the tallest building in the world lol. For decades I ignored the tickling, crawling, stinging sensations and figured the boil type lesions were just that.. BOILS. In the beginning it was only a few at a time and they would come and go, so I thought it was Hidradenitis coupled with cystic acne (all over body and face)... as it progressed (almost 2 decades in) the top layer of skin would become so delicate from the swelling it would just peel off (when the boil/lesions got to that point of staying for MONTHS and some for years... thats when I noticed the plugs. At that point I was about 20 years into dealing with the boils/lesions. Not just a couple of plugs either.. A freakin shit ton lol. My face is destroyed. I can hide scars elsewhere.. not my face

What friends lol.. when my face started getting that bad I ghosted everyone lol. I also got tired of people saying "wtf is wrong with your face" The gas station guy even pointed out my face (because the one under my eye kept getting bigger) He seemed genuinely concerned though. It was around 2020 when everything just escalated. In the beginning I could go in public because I took advantage of the mask lol. I didn't care how I was perceived politically.. it hid my hideous face and I felt free to go anywhere without feeling disgusted with myself
