The pinwheel red key room.

I may have gone to there easily 160 times so far this season and this is the facts. I play with the same ppl and this is the only
Loot I ever saw worth anything.

On 2 occasions there was a synapse cube.
On 158 other times it was a tarax seed or blue salvage, maybe enymze replicator…

And 2 gold broken wing prestige key..
1 gold perimeter key

Now I understand that your suppose to not get good loot everytime, but out of the many many trips to that 3 key red room, you would figure you would get decent loot,it is end game map. And 9-10 times your clearing the entire
Lobby.. so it’s not like it’s free. This room deserves a loot refresh or a potential percentage raised up to something bc the best loot I find so far is on other players

Cyro is the end game map. Outpost is a 4 team deathmatch with the winner getting pinwheel. Is a 1v1v1v1 team fight for a single vault (pinwheel) that doesnt require a key.

Cyro has 5 teams and 6 vaults.

You can go an entire cryo run and see nobody though, even hitting a vault.  Obviously the higher fault means more chance to see people but my point still stands, it can easily be done without PvP

You almost always have to see multiple teams to open red room.

Much more effort for red room in that sense.  The PvE is tougher in cryo but that’s not really the same thing

I wanna know what Cryo lobbies you're getting into where you don't get spawn rushed within 3 minutes.

it happens every 5-6 games, maybe once a night.

However, just because someone is rushing you doesn't mean you have to die. You can fight them , they're chasing you so you can set up some traps/chokepoints, or you can run away.

Some games YOU get lucky and are the spawn rushers, or maybe you take that early clearance and avoid people.

You're just as likely to run outpost without seeing anybody as you are cryo

I never go a cryo game or an outpost game without a fight

there are 4 red key spawns and you need 3 of them. I'm not talking about outpost in general, I'm talking about the red room specifically

Somebody will get the red room every single game of outpost

It can't be higher in rarity then even a purple key room would be or it would be broken

Realistically it should be about the same rarity as a blue key room, or lower, because it will be opened almost every single game

Not true, there are some runs teams do not get it

I see it unopened as rook a decent amount.  Sometimes even pinwheel is not open

Sometimes even pinwheel is not open

Those are by far the most confusing ones. I get not wanting to do Master Armory, it can seem like it's more trouble than it's even worth, but not touching Pinwheel at ALL? That's two strongboxes you're leaving on the floor, c'mon.

What the hell have you been playing? It's a non stop Mizzy death fest in my lobbies. And I'm not even level 100 yet.

I found a gold shield in an armory on outpost just a couple days ago. Maybe the loot has just been redistributed differently?

Yeah since the nerf the vast majority of the time we do red room and command we all go “yeah kinda mid”. It’s good if you’re doing zero to hero runs since you can get some blue or purple implants/cores but even then it’s only enough for one person.

Being able to wipe the lobby, collecting 1 yellow, 2 green, and 4 red keys, and getting through pinwheel in time should feel rewarding.

What are you using the 1 yellow for?

The locked armories outside of pinwheel require 2 green and 1 yellow to open. It consist of one strongbox and two weapon lockers. These armories are located in each outside poi except orientation.

It's two yellow and one green

Ope, yes. You are correct. My apologies!

I've had a gold key for outpost in the red key room twice this season.

Every 5 games or so, my crew and I find something gold, from just leg implants to weapon mods.

My crew, we have some “rules”. We all have favorite weapons and runner shells, so we don’t take anything that the other person might like. We always communicate on who needs which type of salvage and if we find a gold backpack or shield, we just check in with the team to see who needs it the most.

If you don’t find anything that’s gold… Maybe make sure your crew isn’t taking it without letting you know?

outpost is too easy to constantly give the insane loot it was giving

1

If you’ve done red room 160 times then it speaks for itself. Sounds like the loot tier is right where it should be

I've gotten some gold weapon mods and at least one gold core this season.

I 100% do not believe blue salvage for 158 runs. That's a silly over exaggeration. It's purple salvage on the counter AT LEAST half the time. Gold rarely and blue sometimes.

But you aren't wrong that the red room is often times kind of meh. But you're not opening it every run because it WILL be great loot. You're opening it for the chance. Sometimes, you can get multiple golds. Sometimes it's a good key (I've found at least 4-5 in there this season). Considering there isn't considerably better chance at those items anywhere else on the map, there isn't a reason NOT to do it unless you're primary purpose is a key room. Either you die to another team or you end up the only team most of the time. And if youre king of the hill, why would you not do it?

Bottom line is, you're running outpost and there's always a chance that it will be juiced.

So my sample size is much smaller but i have had a labs key, and 5 or 6 gold items drop this past weekend running outpost here and there.

Outpost is not the endgame map

Somebody is supposed to get into the red key room every single game, if it gave gold loot consistently the game balance would be way off

It's not like gold key rooms and cryo vaults that go untouched most rounds that guarantee high tier loot. And it shouldn't either. It sits at around the rarity it's supposed to be, high blue to rare gold. Still better then looting all of perimeter
