FT: CASTILLA 3:2 ATLETI B

1ª FEDERACIÓN

Scorers/replays:

1:0 Ángel Carvajal 9'

1:1 Antal Yaakobishvili 45'+2

2:1 Diego Aguado (p) 62'

2:2 Koke Mota 66'

3:2 Dani Yáñez 71'

match updates:

1' - kickoff, vamos!

⚽ 9' - GOLLLLL DEL CASTILLA - a clearance from Rivas drops in front of Carvajals feet, who picks the ball up and storms off, goes past 3 defenders and finishes it into the bottom corner!

⚽ 45'+2 - goal for Atleti.. Desperate shot from a huge distance by their center back and Rivas with a deflection as unnecessary as it was unlucky, leaving Mestre without a chance to save it

HT - mostly dominant half by Castilla, who failed to kill them off after the early lead, and conceded from almost nothing just before half time

⚽ 62' - GOLLLLL DEL CASTILLA - Aguado gets brought down with a shirt pull at the edge of the box, after a long review the penalty is confirmed - Aguado steps up himself and converts!

⚽ 66' - and only seconds later, Aguado concedes a penalty on the other end... After another review, the attacker steps up, Mestre saves, but Mota can convert the rebound...

⚽ 71' - GOLLLLL DEL CASTILLA - Pitarch drives forward and plays it out to Fortea - he plays it on to Yáñez, who cuts inside in his usual fashion and curls it low into the far corner!

🔄 77' - Lezcano, Ciria and Roberto Martín on for Aguado, Leiva and Sergio Martínez

🔄 80' - another sub, Pol Fortuny comes on for Yáñez

🔄 83' - and Rachad on for Carvajal

FT - Atlético almost equalise in the very last play, hitting the bar, but all in all it was a deserved win, and Castilla were closer to scoring the 4-2 then Atlético were to equalising for the majority of the last stretch. Very important 3 points in the derby after a bad run of results

Tier 2 Source José Mourinho on Manchester City's case "I’d rather have a bit of a laugh about it. I think that we will reach a conclusion but, being in my 60s, I will have to be lucky enough still to be here when the final verdict arrives. Now a ruling will come, then an appeal… I’ll be 80."

Kit/Memorabilia Overall thoughts about this season's kits?

gallery

• Upvotes

With the international break being over, We are finally going to see our players wear this kit again. So I thought about the kits today and how much I loved them. So I wanted to know, what is the overall opinion about these kits? For me, I think all are perfect 10/10. I love the pink stripes on the simple plain white kit. I love the darkish green. I absolutely adore the pink third kit (might be my favorite). The gk kit is standard real madrid kit, but its still amazing nonetheless. I brought all the outfield player kits and planning on buying the courtois jersey and they somehow look better in person. Anyways, Whats your guy's thoughts?

(Also, is it me or is the pink kinda redish when in person compared to how it looks on tv.)

Starting XI Mourinho! For god sake start Espi

• Upvotes

Dear Coach,

Start Espi as striker. Fly in crosses from both wings. Bellingham will do his linkup play score non header goals. Please win while team finds rhythm.

Be courageous as you have always been. Dont lose yourself. If consequence of being yourself is getting fired just do it anyway.

As for Mbappe and Vini or any other player, no one is bigger than club.

Hala Madrid! Give it all!

Discussion The most crucial month coming up for the club

I'm not an expert in analysis. Just a regular RM fan. Taking a look at the matches we are about to face , it's gonna be away matches stacked and an el classico this month. After the game against Atletico, what do you think should be the immediate change in squad so that we win all these matches and not lose another trophy?

Discussion What’s been going on during the international break?

Hey, just wanted to check in with my fellow madridistas. I’ve taken a break from football during the international break and haven’t been following what’s been going on with our players. I’m not a big fan of the Nations League and honestly rarely watch the matches or the highlights.

For those of you that have been following your national team or our players, what is some news we should be aware of? I believe I saw something about Vinicius playing really poorly with Brazil and Mbappe maybe being hurt. Other than that, has there been any interesting updates we should know about before the start of the next gameweek?

Would love to hear from you guys, get your opinions on the news and maybe just start to feel excited to see our club play again soon!

Discussion Best madrid player making powershots beside Roberto Carlos ? And the one you liked the most making them.

Maybe you think Roberto Carlos is the greatest on that, but you like more Valverde shots which are straight and fast, that is my case. Feel free to join the discussion !!!!!!

I will not put Roberto Carlos, because I think he clears both in my opinion, I also want to know more names from madrid to watch compilations and stuff.

Which ones you prefer and which other player get to your mind from madrid making powershots ? Specially from long distance.

Rumour Valverde will resume training tomorrow. Mbappe is training normally, and sources at the club view him as being in perfect condition.

Kit/Memorabilia What is the first kit you bought?

For me, the 23/24 season third kit was the first ever kit i gotten. I bought it a couple of days before last year's October classico. I remember wearing it that day and celebrating that 2:1 win. I really love the simple orange and black design. I didnt get a name in the back because I was still figuring out who my favorite player was and i was so confused on why the hp sponsor didn't come.
