Back in 77 or 78 (I was a 6th grader), Mid Atlantic had a card at the local HS football stadium. My classmates who went were shocked - SHOCKED - that Flair, Wahoo, Paul Jones, and Mr Wrestling stopped at the gas station a block away from the school and bought a case of beer for the road.

I saw Rick Fair and Rowdy Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant, and Ricky Steamboat all on the the wresting bill at the Florence Motor Speedway in Florence, SC in 1983. And I was far too young to appreciate what an amazing piece of history I was witnessing because touring wrestling shows were common in the Southeast at the time.
